I just happens that you guys all live along the same air currents. (Andy can explain it better).

But the Alaskan glacier and the governments of USA, Canada, and Russia have different opinions than you.

Vinni, the colder than normal temperatures we have experienced in the East are due to climatological patterns; ENSO, which causes El Nino. The strong trough (Jet Stream dips low over the Southern US) pulling down cold air from Canada has not been dislodged by other mechanisms yet, so its got more to due with atmospheric wave movement more than Global Warming/lack of Global Warming talk.

Global climate change is happening: Fact!

Pres. Bush's administration denied part of a huge glacier ice shelf fell off of Antarctica in 2002 after they had evidence: Fact!

Obama, three days in said it happened and it is not good: FACT!
Obama didn't really do anything other than release data gathered by Bush chronies that showed the opposite of what he wanted to portray. :D

Claiming global warming doesn't exist is just idiotic. Any 10 year old can look at a 60 year chart of global average temperatures and notice an overall upward trend. What hasn't been proven yet is whether it's being spurred by man, something we can hopefully figure out some day.

It's because a lot of things depend on a lot of things, a lot of things depend on some things, some things depend on a lot of things, a lot of things depend on some things, and some things depend on some things, and vice versa. That's just the way the atmosphere works!

Well, I don't mind Chicago so much. Buffalo actually gets more snow than Chicago. Their lake-effect snow comes in the path of the jet stream -- not away from it. And for all the talk about Chicago being the Windy City (named really by New Yorkers about claims from Chicago supporters for hosting the Columbian Expo World's Fair in 1893), Andy can clarify that Buffalo is, in fact, a windier city.

But the cold -- that's where Chicago gives it to you like an icicle up your Panucci hole.

I agree with you, Andy. That said, I also realized this reaction does fit your m.o. You have a propensity for a belief in outside agents beyond our purview -- hence the conspiracy thing, hence why you haven't jumped on the atheist bandwagon with Martin and crew, etc.

I disagree...Chicago is a windier city than Buffalo

you are correct about the lake-effect trap that we are in, though :(

Andy wants to get a Juve jersey with "Dick Kup" on the back.
Where the gates at Anfield once read "Liverpool Football Club - You'll Never Walk Alone", they now read "Liverpool Football Club - Two Dicks, One Kup"

we've had the coldest winter in 32 years here, and our hottest summer was 21 years ago, so poo-poo to the global warming theory

want more snow and ice for the icebergs and mountains in the Arctic ?? Come to Buffalo and get all that you can carry !!:D
Arctic melting is causing NATO security concerns TODAY. Still want to poo-poo Global Warming? Everytime it's cold you seem to think the Warming does not exist.
