That half was ok, i think we are lucky to be on top. mexico are pushing the pace and maintaining possession. Our biggest problem is there has been absolutely no cohesion between bradley and clarke. Dempsey is really bailing then out. We also need to be more aware of the pressure on carrales and moore, vela is having his way with them. If clarke and bradley can get some teamwork going it will really stabilize our defense.
When I said the first half was great I meant it was pretty damn exciting. We can certainly improve in different facets of the match though. You're right about Bradley and Clarke as they're not really working well together. I think Szetela would be a better option than Clarke anyway, so I want to see Danny get a match in pretty soon. The communication at the back has been a little poor as seen with Mouthblack and Howard, but the latter has saved us with some great saves, particulary the punch away. That was scary.

I say this is the future right here:

Howard

Spector - Onyewu - Bocanegra - Gibbs

Donovan - Bradley - Szetela

Dempsey - Adu

Altidore

STUNNING!

Okay, that Mexican goal could have been prevented.

Why the hell wasn't there anybody covering the back post? We had a guy on the near post, so why didn't we have the far post covered? Stupid mistake. I blame Howard for that as if you had to pick which post to cover it would have to be the back post, not the front post. That's like DEFENDING AGAINST CORNER KICKS 101 class. I mean come on, grow up team.

And that marking was just horrid.

All right, this referee is a fucking faggot. That was a red card when that douchebag when in on Howard, and the foul on Convey should have been a yellow. This ref must be a spic because he keeps favoring the Green Cards. Fuck him.

If these fuckers hurt any of our players, I'm going to like Mexicans even less than I do now.

We could have done better than just a draw here, although the referee really fucked us over in numerous occasions. There should have been a Green Card red card as well as a Dempsey goal, which was called back for Allah knows why. Shamefull biased refereeing from the looks of it. Our attackers were particulary good, especially Altidore, the future of our national team. Our defense was sloppy and Howard made a mistake by not putting a man on the far post during the first Green Card goal. The central midfield was lackluster and as you said Eazy there was little cohesion, thus letting Mexicans through the center of the pitch like our border. I thought Mexico showed more creativity than us going forward, but that's to be expected. We countered with our pace, strength and individual creativity, so we did well in terms of getting the goals. It's just that our central midfield needs work and the defense needs to get their act together.

Howard - 6.5
Moor - 5.5
Onyewu - 6
Bocanegra - 6.5
Corrales - 5.5
Donovan - 6.5
Bradley - 6
Clarke - 5.5
Convey - 5.5
Dempsey - 6.5
Altidore - 7.5
Adu - 6
Feilhaber - 5.5
Edu and others - not rated

ESPN, the self proclaimed "World Wide Leader in Sports", must think Houston is still part of Mexico. I checked in on the game around the 90th minute to catch the score, and saw: Mexico 2, USA 2 and was left scratching my nuts trying to figure where in Mexico that particular stadium had been built.

1-1 against Mexico is a good result Andy, they are a strong team, and from what I read (and of course, your comments are 100% unbiased;) ), you could have even won so you should be really happy wth this result.
