Gregger, that story in your sig.....did you read the discussion?
Dude... I just checked that out. Pretty damn funny. (I haven't read that story since the day it happened here ... and hence when I came up with the quote that I now I have in my sig. I am finding few exceptions to this rule, btw.)

I love this line about this truck screw-up and 9/11 comparison: "They aren't even in the same galaxy." :lol2:

Then the conspiracy theorists come out suspecting alien cargo from another planet, etc. And then there's just Bush and Iraq war talk in there. Yeah, sounds like all the freaks I live near alright...

i am really impressed at how civil seven's been through this gang bang, the forum would lose out without him around. As for history and meteorology they re both necessary hence their existence, though personally i'd go for history any day of the week.

This exchange happened today -

Big Balls Bethany: "Mr. Pado, when are you gonna make an honest woman out of me?"

Pado: "I'm not. Look, Bethany . . ."

BBB: "Call me 'Big Balls'."

Pado" "Okay . . . don't you get it? I like women . . . you know, the kind with vaginas."

BBB: "I'm not understanding that."

Pado: "I'm not gay."

BBB: "Mr. Pado, the Amazon ain't just a river in Africa."

I'm quitting my job and becoming a Jihadist. Some of you will think I'm crazy, but it really is the perfect plan. A guy like me who has been raised his entire life on the Christian ideal of a loving god, a forgiving god, but really has no clue whether god even exists, has the peferct out: If god is loving, surely he would forgive me my Jihadist massacres, and if, on the other hand, god really is a hateful and vengeful god who hates white folk and Jews, then hell yes sign me up. I can behead Seven and reap the rewards (not because he wants the extermination of America, but because of his nasty words towards Allah).

Seven, your head will fly over the Verrazano Narrows Bridge before Dale Earnhardt Junior drinks his thirteenth can Budweiser on the 6th day of June.

It's about time someone wrote a serious history of meteorology text.

as civil as a pimp at a tijuana whorehouse ;)
Watchoo talkin' 'bout, Willis? Those guys who tend the painted donkeys to look like zebras are seriously civil.

Easy for him to say. Particularly when he's practicing a 10-meter Greg Louganis on your backside.

I'm quitting my job and becoming a Jihadist.
Don't do it! Not only does the pay suck, but the 72 virgins each look like Menace in a wig.

If that's what you want to do, there's nothing wrong with that whatsoever. History is an integral part of society so we don't keep making the same mistakes.

But just don't insult the intelligence of others when you know nothing about them.

People like you use me because we're more valuable than you... we provide information you couldn't even fathom.

Just like you said, you castigated me for not knowing the in depth basics of Sophicles. That is something anybody could understand, but the people who are important to society make products and evaluations that create wealth and also begin to understand why we are here and what has bearing over our lives. Yes, the weather has a huge bearing over our lives, and the reason why we don't understand it fully is because it's too difficult to understand. Opposite of history.
No I didn't and it's Sophocles, who wrote tragedies and who wouldn't form a great example to the point I'm trying to make. I agree that anyone who's more or less reasonable could understand Sophocles. Understanding certain events in history however, is far from as easy as you deem it to be. And like I've said before, the level at which history is being taught is fairly high in Belgium (as is pretty much anything else). Americans do have the best universities in Harvard and Yale, but overall Belgium scores pretty good when it comes to education.

I never disagreed about the fact people like you could provide wealth. However, I chose not to be one of them. Journalism, despite being somewhat vague, is something that always interested me and is the only job I see myself doing. One of the best ways to get there is studying history.
