Andy, I find this a hilarious twist of fate for you, remembering how many posts you wrote about how people take the whole thing too seriously, how moderators don't matter and people should just stop caring and remember it's an internet forum. Not the best paraphrasing ever, but you remember what you said.

You know full-well what I mean by that, Martin. Banning people for 45-days merely due to the offense of posting offtopic is taking things way too seriously. Now, if our beloved moderator would have simply issued a warning like he was supposed to do, this whole dispute regarding Nick, me and others would have been avoided. You're arguing the extremes here and it's not making a ton of sense... I might have not taken things seriously as a mod, however I did not unfairly hinder anyone from posting nor did I make a stink about my actions. The line is therefore drawn where one's personal gain from an experiance reaches a maximum without taking any pleasure away from another consumer. Think of it as a weird sense of pareto efficiency.

I deleted two pages of off topic crap where not only it was off topic but full of insulting each other using foul language. But wait, you don't look at this, you look at what happened in the end only because this is what you can argue on.

I never insulted anybody in that thread actually... rather I simply commented on how ridiculous that comment was by the illiterate Turk, who by the way was never warned for such a silly comment. And moreover, three other members posted offtopic in the same thread after I was banned, but apparently you were away from the forums for an unusual period of an hour and must not have noticed.
