@ Andy - I'm taking a full slate of Petroleum Engineering classes at Monmouth College in New Jersey. I can't get the calculus quite right, I'm a bit out of my depth in Chemistry and especially physics, and I'm useless with statics (NOT statistics). Now then, do you really wonder why I resort to the shoe?

@ Burke - thanks for the effort, but it's always the pigs that make the videos.

the baby and the wife retreated to the in-laws up in TO back on Saturday

the Vinman, armed with a generator that provided heat, fridge, sump-pump protection, and RAI International got me thru the weekend....

I guess asking for a stove and microwave would have been asking too much !!

Work has been a bit on the crazy side...ppl are just plain pissed off without electricity...and then I tell them that my police station has been without electricity for 4 days as well (the generator there only keeps the fridge on !! )
thats the important thing :D

What up, y'all??

Burke, glad to see you're not banned again yet. :p

Still trekking my way across Portugal... downing a couple bottles of wine a day in any town I'm in. Coimbra was pretty cool and even partied a little with some of the student population there.

Now I'm in Porto, which isn't anything like I expected. You can't tell if this is a town on the way up or the way down. Its UNESCO-designated downtown core is both charming and delapidated like Dresden circa 1947. And talk about a brooding town. You could film a Batman movie here, and the weather hasn't hurt. I expect some vampire to pop out of some dirty old castle and suck my neck dry like a Capri Sun pack at any moment. It's also a little like Portugal's Torino in a way, with all the locals too busy making money to get too crazy culturally...

But boy was the town crazy last night after the Hamburg match. I was going to get tickets, but it's been dumping rain so I opted to watch it with a bunch of local drunks instead. Gonna have to pull for Sporting tonight, Burkemeister, sorry to say. Sporting definitely seems to be the cool underdog team around these parts --scrappy, low budget, investing heavily in youth squads in producing the likes of Nani and Joao Moutinho, etc. But the people in Porto and the people in Lisbon seem to hate each other in football like Romanisti and Laziale.

Time to open up another bottle, folks. Don't burn the place down while I'm gone, OK?

Congrats on the Tigers, Andy.

And what is up with Da Bears even with 4 ints??

And Pado, I am so far disappointed with the obvious lack of unitard-wearing transsexuals in this country. How Portugal got admitted to the E.U. is anyone's guess.

Via my grandmother some Italian guy I have NEVER met just gave me an authentic Juventus shirt bearing Del Piero's name and my brother an authentic AS Roma shirt (hey, at least he's not gay, right?). Sometimes I look up to the sky and think to myself, wow this must be the next best thing to happiness.

make that 6 turnovers, with no offensive touchdown overcoming a 20 point lead with 21 minutes to go. Team of destiny baby
Is there one person on this planet that thought Rackers was going to make that field goal? No, I didn't think so. At the moment, Chicago can do no wrong, it's all going their way. Team of Destiny, indeed.

I hear that the penalty for that over there now is 30 years of cryogenic freezing.
i dont know why he did that really. Apparently he didnt pay any taxes for a while and then he filed for a substantial amount of tax returns(12m i heard).

So mybe he should've hired a stunt double to do this stunt for him. Like u said if hes caught he could be in for a while
