THought he was a inexperienced to coach the Azzurri esp. after a world cup victory...thought he did not have enough hands on experience with TOP calibre players...
Also not a time to test new players like Semioli, Di Michele, etc. He shoudl have stuck with what worked with some minor adjustments (i.e. Totti replacement..Nesta/Matrix replacement)...the team MAY be winded and unmotivated but they are a strong a unit as you will find.
He is one of the most talented Italian players..WHEN HE DECIDES TO PLAY...against Lithuania nothing stopped him..today I had to constantly look for him to see if he was on the field..he needs to contribute more...he also needs Gattuso to be on his game to give him room....
problem is the team revolves around Pirlo in midfield trenches and atop..he can't be everywhere despite his talent..
Italy is made for dramatic finishes..I expect nothing less but a dramatic end to qualify

why was he chosen to be the NT coach anyways ?? It looks to me like Spinelli was SPOT ON with the comments he made about Donadoni last season....maybe he can coach a bunch of mid table commies, but this is the NT FFS !!!

Yeah, but lets remmber Lithuania are no france. Cassano was Indeed in a gread mood and shape last Saturday. But that wont be enough, as he'll have to give against top teams. Personally, as I stated yesterday, relying on Pirlo yesterday was due to Cassano not opening room for himself but depending on Andrea too much, and of coarse waiting for the ball. Pirlo is deadly passer when he's give some room, Cassano should learn how to take defenders with him like Dp or Totti do.
However, I still think Cassano should be given more time, but ATM, I'll just stick with the masters(Totti, Del Piero)...and Toni would be great additional to see him back.

Indeed the tactics he was using agianst Lithuania and france were pretty lame. I don't know since Mauro wasn't there, why not start with De Rossi, even If he already had Perrotta and Rino, De Rossi would have atleast dominated the midfield much better than Semiole or whatever his name is.
However, the Scotland-France game will be really Important. A draw would be great for the Azzurri.
