Note the common crossed "VV" thing I've mentioned on this forum a long time ago. I'm presuming it's short for "viva".

I've only tended to see that in Campania (Napoli, near Salerno, etc.). And of course, the anti-VV, the upside-down version. (As in "VV Napoli, [upside-down-VV] Salerno" along the walls of the Circumvesuviana ... something I'm sure Pado can sympathize with... at least the Salerno part. )
