My dad actually had a problem in Germany, when i went for the world cup. See in California you can make a right turn on a red light, as long as no one is coming, and it's legal. We had been doing that in Germany, assuming it was fine, until we asked a local and he started telling us we're crazy and better hope no one ever saw us doing it

Bleh, that regulation is different everywhere. In Poland that's a mandatory turn. When you drive up to a light and you're on the very right, there's a little green arrow pointing to the right and you have to go, otherwise people behind you won't hesitate to flame you.
