I agree 100%...Figo was given a yellow for a head butt and Rooney a red for a push which we see every other play. Portugal are by far the dirtiest and most unsportsmanlike team in the WC....divers (Maniche) actors (C. Ronaldo) and class (sign in the first game: Where is Greece...defensive football go home). England outplayed them and created more in 10 men than they did in 11...hoping this team faces Italy for an arse whippin of biblical proportions...
Yea, but Rooney is English, so fuck him.

Dude, I don't even follow tennis. And when Sampras played, I used to like hearing about him winning all the time, even though I never watched the matches. :D

Btw it's Amstel :p
Ahh, your ubiquity on this forum has made you a proxy for any intelligent discussion in my mind then.

What's with the fruity beer thing, anyway? Isn't that a bit like the wine cooler approach to malted hops? :p
I don't know really, it is just something I heard of and I am intrigued to try it.

I am not a fan of the Baccardi Breezer family and the likes by the way. Erik, it better not be like that.

Actually, if you watch the video, it wasn't a push. You'll see that Rooney gets his feet tangled up with Carvalho, who is lying on the ground. Rooney, stepping from foot-to-foot to retain balance, then deliberately takes a back step to jam his heel in Carvahlo's groin. It's pretty clear what's going on and it is at least as malicious as the Figo head butt against Holland.

If the ref failed on this call, which he saw right in front of him, it was in being too lenient in not dishing out yellow cards sooner to settle things down. Rooney escalated things with a major leap.

And Portugal will get their dishing, don't worry. There's a reason why the WC club is so elite. But it's always nice to shut up the English-language press who treat England as if they're God's gift to football. :agree:

I don't buy it...the ref would have immediately pulled out the red if it was for the groin 'stomping' as you say..instead he only pulled out the Red once Cristian "over-rated" Ronaldo was pushed by Rooney..it was a horsesh*t call when you look at the other things refs have turned a blind eye to

I don't think a push off is major ... I have seen players slapping and even kicking players not getting a card...this was sheer idiotic.

Sorry but I think this English team deserved the press ... they had an elite mid field and solid defense..had Rooney and Owen both been healthy I don't think Portugal would have stood a chance....the English team never truly played to their full capacity and never found their groove..its unfortunate because we will not see another team like this for a good while..in England.

I know you wholeheartedly support Portugal and I don't mean to rain on your parade but when I see Portugal I see INTER (Figo) and it bugs the sh*t out of me

@ Burke: whats the song in your yo yo video??
