Thanks, Stephan. Both squads should have played better. But then, both squads didn't have all their pieces out on the pitch either.

Talk about drama...

I'm a little surprised that Hargreaves got FIFA's MOM, given how big Ricardo was in the PKs. But I do think Hargreaves was probably the best player on the pitch in regulation.

Still, I love it when players make the sports writers look like the laughable jokes that they are... like this article from today's Telegraph: Ricardo the weak link.

How long before they pull that article? ;)

Congrats, Greg, I was rooting for your team :)
It's just for the opportunity to be dismembered by Brazil and play for third place, but I'll take it. :D

Thanks, Martin.

This house was a rockin' during the match...

Swag, Parabéns a você!!

I was out for like 30 min waving the bandeira after the game...the reactions were priceless, one redneck even yelled "This is America, where's the American flag!"

Ronaldo should be on his way out of Man Utd now

Happy stay at Real Madrid's bench? One can only hope.

As for France: I started out supporting Brazil but ended up cheering Zidane and Henry. Such world class..!

I thought he was awfull. But especially that attitude of his... Sickening.
You want awful? Try C Ronaldo against Angola where Scolari rightfully had to sub him out at 60' because he was too worked up and already had a yellow. That attitude was awful.

Contrast with today, where I thought he kept a pretty cool head throughout the match and didn't get goaded into any flame-outs.

To point out Ronaldo's attitude in this match, of all matches, sounds like a sore loser argument to me, IMO. You sure you're not an England fan?

I missed the game because I had to work. What happened?
He simply was an arrogant wanker throughout the game. Whining here, provoking there etc etc.

His play is so poor too. he dances around with the ball continuesly, but never actually manages to dribble past anyone... ever.

That's taking it too far, mate. Ronaldo's attitude has been worse than it was today, but his behaviour was still appalling. Diving is nothing new nowadays, but even disregarding that: today was the first time I saw a player ask the referee to card one of his colleagues from his club. It's quite disgusting.

I'm actually glad Portugal is through and England out.

C Ronaldo against Angola was awful too, but to be honest I don't recall him ever being unawful...

A cool head today? I think your glasses were a little too red and green coloured today...
