We were on this skiing trip at Alpe d'Huez and you know you're going to see human society from the wrong side when you're going out. We were at some Dutch resort anyway, so we had prepared for the worst :D.

Turned out their choice of music was horrible and they served Heineken.
Pops up this huge Dutch guy, who's bold, wears glasses and has a tattoo. Kind of a mix between 50 Cent and De Leeuw, if that's even possible.

At the moment he passes besides me "you're beautiful" starts playing. So what does the guy do? He starts singing along. Even more so he starts singing to me!
So there I am, completely sober, with some huge bald drunk, kind of obviously gay guy in front of me who's singing a serenade.

I still have shivers when thinking about it.

EDIT: no homophobic intent, believe me, you would have been just as scared :D.

Guys, I could use some help here. I need to find five articles in Italian of about one or two pages for my oral exam. I'd like them not to be too hard, but I should be able to say something about them and they should get me going in a discussion.

I echo Erik's suggestion. Flip on "Porta a porta" and pick up some current issues :)

do you want them each to be around 1 or 2 pages? or in total?

That's digging your own grave. Unless you want to spend hours learning uncommon words such as "bribe", "cover-up", "nepotism" etc

An oral exam should be about a topic you know a lot of, and can use a casual multi-dimensional (ie including synonyms) vocabulary for.
