Nick, let's not talk out of our asses, or use big words, eh? If it makes you sleep any better, you can use your little self-confidence boosting technique to raise hopes for your childhood dream of Juventus being relegated in private.
How was that quote a proof of innocence or a show that there is no evidence against us? ... That was the opinion of one person on one small aspect of the case against us... It means nothing

You know what, I am hereby boycotting this forum until FUCKING Fli and the other bastards start to not crack down on shit so seriously.

I can't believe I got warned for saying "assclown" and "Scheisse" what a fucking joke.

Marty, you have suceeded in creating the worst forum in the history of all forums, minus the "Beasteality" forum.

But as serious as this fucking place has become is a joke.

Also, Fli is abusing his power and directing it just on me because he does not like me, hell, he even said so himself.

So: Good luck, good fuck and Fli, the reason you are in Scotland is because no one knows where the fuck you come from.

So, "cheers" as that "piss bag" Paul would say.
good luck burke, you shall not return. you are the main reason why this forum downgraded and i think it would be difficult to find a person who disagrees with that.

Actually Alex one opinion versus a mountain of evidence that grows every day and all of which has not yet been released is not much to go on AND if this is what you are going on in making yourself believe that this is all a witch hunt then I suggest you get together with Swag and Pado and form a group with the everfamous theme song:

it was not a proof of innocence, but i think that the head of the inquisitory office might have a tad more knowledge than Nick over this subject, and yet he is completely positive that the "evidence" given is definitely enough to doom us to serie C. give us a break

Actually YES if the evidence turns out to be TRUE then a possible sanction is SERIE B...may I remind you that Genoa was relegated for ONE MATCH

At the very least one match is quite plausible...at the moment there are seven in question

i'm not saying Moggi acted in the right way, morally or legally. However, the ability of the court to find suitable, founded evidence and be able to support it, and that the evidence should be serious enough to lead to a relegation of two leagues down to Serie C, i think is beyond anyone's knowledge at the moment.

"A season with Verona" by Tim Parks absolutely rocks. I loved it. The Castel di Sangro one I haven't read after a friend of mine complained how she couldn't get through it and thought 20 euros spent on a desk stabiliser was a bit much

As for Greek temples; I've seen the ones in Paestum and they were nice, but I couldn't write a single paragraph on them :D
I just started A Season with Verona -- the damn thing was on back-order with Amazon for months.

The Miracle Castel di Sangro is good reading too, IMO. Serie C stuff -- could be the things of Juve's next season, no? If you can get around the fact that the author comes off as a know-it-all, holier-than-thou, arrogrant, bad-stereotype-American prick and a half, it's definitely recommended. And given the book's ending, it's pretty topical these days.

Didn't make it to Herculaneum myself, but want to. Pompeii was crowded (and dumping rain) when I last went, but I did like it for the access you had without any heavy-handed history lessons. We all know what happened there and don't need the sledgehammer to drive it home in our skulls. I need to go back to Napoli to crack that nut anyway; now that I've learned how to survive street scammers and gouging taxi drivers the first time around, I might enjoy it more without fearing for my safety.

...And without being subject to investigation by a magistrate.

Oh, and Nick, remember those TV commercials for Palmolive where Madge tells the stunned manicur-ee, "You're soaking in it" ... as the woman is unaware that her hand is submersed in a puddle of green goo?

Well, you're soaking in it. :smoke:

Might I remind you that this is NOT a criminal proceeding and beyond a reasonable doubt is NOT the what is required to get a verdict...more over, suitable founded evidence?? There are hundreds of transcripts of Moggi selecting officials for games based on how well they treated Juve and how they made bad calls for other teams...commenting on favorable calls and SCOLDING the head of the officials for his men making bad calls....is this enough evidence ...and is it serious enough?? What is enough?? what is serious enough for you?

This is definitely not a criminal proceeding in terms of a requirement for evidence. It's more like a civil suit than a criminal one in terms of its standards of guilt or innocence, and even that isn't accurate -- suspicion can be enough to make judgement here.

But Moggi selecting officials for games... where's the checks and balances here? When has it become Moggi's responsibility to assign referees? I'm sure he'd like to believe that it was his responsibility, but ultimately it's not.

Let's be clear on what of any crimes could be here and separate who is responsible for what. If Moggi was using clear threats, extortion, or even bribery to ply influence with referee choices ... that should be the nature of the crime and it should be prosecuted as such. But which officials ultimate get chosen for matches is the domain of responsibility for the referee association, and any crimes related to that piece need to be pursued from within the referee association.

Evidence of collusion is another example, implicating both sides. But in my puny view of all this, I haven't quite seen what the ref association is getting out of this to make it worth their while to collude. (Evidence of a mutual betting ring would be a good example.)

Expressing your referee preferences and blowing your stack if a one blows a call against your team does not constitute criminal activity on its own accord, IMO.
