 He DID change it now, you know :D.
I'm kind of sad no one read my brilliant quote. You just told him you learn things such as these in elementary school and I replied with:

"Not in Vinman's special school they don't".

Thought it was funny at so many levels.

On to a lighter subject... anyone know if that idiot blaine has been chained up and escaped from the goldfish bowl yet ??
I think he still has a few more days left. But let me ask you, how is this magic, he has a friggin' oxygen tank? I think someone should sneak up in the middle of the night with a pick ax and poke a small hole in the bowl.

I know, my fellow Canalloni lover. Paul does make a lot of sense when it comes to the Triade, and I agree with him in that respect. However, his defense of the media can become a bit annoying at times. I'm all for laughing at Lapo.
Of course, the grand irony is that Paul defends the media like they have actually earned much of a defense. While I agree that whole societies take the easy walk of dismissing the value of media, the truth is that most media businesses have been reduced to rip-and-read jockeys on starvation wages.

How do I make such wild claims? For one, that I've professionally worked in online media companies for 10 years now. For another, my wife has worked as a TV reporter, video producer, and marketing/PR schmuck for over 15 years now. We laugh at the same bull crap.

Seven, they are playing your song . . .

Do you really need for Paul or anybody else to tell you that goal.com is not exactly a reliable source of news? People are biased, so we want to discredit sources of news that are notoriously . . . coservative or liberal or labor-friendly, or pro-militant, anti-fapper, . . . just fill in the blank with your own slant. So one poster trying to educated the unwashed vermon of juventuz will not stop people from claiming the media is the devil.

P.S. Has anybody really suggested that the media has invented the Moggi scandal or have they simply said the media has blown it way out of proportion? Just asking.

Of course you have to be critical, but this stuff wasn't made up by tribalfootball, they had reliable sources and it was confirmed by everyone.

A little point... If you remeber i agreed that what jae said was wrong... I defended him too a point, because i thought the reaction was somewhat ott and i do believe he didnt really know or mean what he said in the way it came across... I might have been wrong, i dont know, but i didnt defend the actual statement...
To be honest, I remember you defending your English counterparts when they were throwing around generalizations about Italians and America or American college students, yet took offense to the teeth jokes like it was some huge offense. The likes of Jae, Emma, and Claire went over the top several times with the American idiot generalizations and other such things that are exactly the same as the bad teeth jokes...yet I do not recall you speaking out against anything besides supposed insults that implicate the English.

People call Americans idiots all the time on this board, however no such stink is made over that anymore. Posters call me and others typical college frat boys which is not that offensive but in some ways it is...but I do not make much out of those. The response to Jae regarding what he said was obviously coming because I believe he said some rather alarming things about Italians prior to that post in question...but I could be wrong.

As for the jokes.. yes they are jokes... but the fact is, when you here them over and over again they become annoying and to a point very insulting... Especially as many of the lesser brained people on places like this, do actually take them as an actual fact
:lol2: How on earth can people think that.

People have been saying it was just another anti-juve rumour because it was the end of the season.

Well, it was perfectly timed to disrupt the Scudetto run in. As I understand it, these tapes and transcripts were secured in 2004 could have been made available months ago. But, they were only mad available to the media & the public when the Scudetto race tightened to 3 points and 2 matches remaining.

I don't care to speak as to what other posters said, but I found the timing to be most curious.

His defense of the media is much needed around these parts though. A lot of let's call them "online Juventini" hide themselves after the fact "they" made it up. I, for one, want Juventus to be clean and won't take such a simple excuse for an answer.
Hell, even I wrote for Goal.com for an entire year. I think it's fairly obvious such a website should not be taken over the likes of Gazzetta and Corriere della Sera...I mean anybody can tell you that, as Pado stated.

Yes and I remember I did agree on that one. But we all know how things like these go. A scandal isn't deliberately started at most times. Probably someone who said too much because he didn't like Juventus.

The timing is ridiculous. It wouldn't be as suspicious if we didn't also have questionable video footage of Cannavaro suddenly appear in last year's Scudetto race that was older than a 7-year proscuitto...

There is a bit of a crying wolf problem here of the accusers, let alone the accused.

Exactly. Thing is though not everyone of us speaks Italian, which doesn't make it any easier to get a lot of information about this subject. It seems to me that most international based papers are quite quiet. There's a ton of stuff I get to read everyday when I'm reading la gazzetta, but it's not that simple for everyone.

Let me just tell you that you, personally, should not be let off the hook either. It's well known that Belgian teeth are nothing too pretty. Just look at all the gaps in your Prime Minister's smile.

Sorry, I just had to.
