It's about time Burke finally realized perhaps it's not such a smart idea to drive 40 mph over the speed limit while intoxicated..

FWIW, sounds like the usual bitch-and-moaning vendettas that tend to come out late in a Juve scudetto run around the time of a press silence. When the Cannavaro IV video doesn't work, what do you have left?

As someone else mentioned, Raffaele Guarinello put Moggi and Giraudo cell phones under surveillance because they were under investigation for sport fraud (a criminal felony) in the famous case where Juve was acquitted. Since poor Guarinello didn't have anything to prosecute, he had to show his existence worthy of something. So, for no obvious reason :rolleyes2, conversations from 2004 suddenly make the news and Guarinello decides to pass these materials to Lega Calcio because they MAY contain information about inappropriate -- not criminal, otherwise Guarinello would have acted himself -- behaviors.

There's so much smoke coming out of Guarinello's ass with this, I mistook him for Lippi chomping on his stogie.
Oh come on, Swag. Despite the fact I don't see very much hard evidence, you have to acknowledge this is bigger than the usual bitch-and-moaning vendettas. This is hardly something we encounter every year.

And to make matters even worse, even I have to admit we do get a lot of calls that go our way in Italy. Now we all know big teams have a certain advantage over smaller teams, that's how it has always been, but with Juventus it has been more than that. It's like completely denying Juventus players took drugs. I'm convinced Milan players did as well, but in the end Juve didn't really get punished, now did they? As for this case, if Moggi really has been meddling with results, I'd go as far as saying we should be put in Serie B.

I've seriously had it with our special treatment. People will no doubt moan and tell me I'm not a "true" Juventino, but do you seriously want to support a club that manages to screw up like this? I want a clean Juventus. Milan's a big club as well, but I don't see them getting front pages like us FFS. We can all put our head in the ground our acknowledge SOMETHING is off.

PS: sorry I posted, but I'll be really disgusted if it turns out (again) I was cheering for a bunch of cheats.

Seven, Serie B is just punishment for a club that bought match officials, certainly. But if Moggi only requested certain officials for pre-season FRIENDLIES such as the Berlusconi Cup and TIM Cup, then no punishment is deserved.

Perhaps Moggi suggested to the head of refs that a promising young rookie named The Pado should be assigned to the Berlusconi Cup because this guy has a great future in the game and he needs to get big match experience in a hurry. No bigger match than Juve vs. Milan, even if it is a pre-season friendly, so throw him in at the deep end at a time when the result matters not.
