    Andy...
Milan was lucky to beat Lyon despite keeping it scoreless in France...Sheva coming close to goal three times and Lyon never really testing Dida with no crossbars, posts, etc.

At San Siro, MIlna scores..Lyon equalizes..as usual only Juninho tests Dida ...

They allow Serginho to run up and down the flanks...Kaka comes close to goal in a header saved by a defender IN THE NET...they leave Nesta the opportunity to almost score twice..
They leave Sheva alone in the final minutes in which he hits TWO POSTS..during the this time the ball is never cleared

My question is since Milan was lucky to beat Lyon...

WAS LIVERPOOL lucky to beat Milan??

In the first half Liverpool was invisible..
In the second half Sheva almost scored from a free kick

A 40 yard shot ..Dida blunder
A penalty kick and a goal in six minutes and Liverpool then sat back again allowing Milan to control and run the game again..
Sheva hits the Pool keeper with two shots in a row at close range and incredibly it hits him in the back and on his arm (involuntary)..
Liverpool did nothing but WAIT for the PK

Of course I already know the answer....Milan was lucky and Liverpool was determined..

    right?? Something like that...

Feed it to the tourists Andy

How many times was it that Fred hit the posts? Oh and I thought Ancelotti's substitutions were ridiculously stupid. They did pay off once Milan got the lead but if Inzaghi had never done his tap, tap, tap-a-roo, I guarantee Milanista's everywhere would be shouting for Ancelotti's head. Shevy's ball never should have be allowed to hit the far post as it should have been held by Coupet. But alas the Frenchman allowed the ball to go right through his hands. Not quite a Wiese but darn close. Without Inzaghi's goal, Zhevy's final nail doesn't come. It was result of a good counter attack in which even Chris was in the Milan box trying to save his season. Though I will say it was a good finish. It is very easy to praise Milan in retrospect though at the time I thought Ancelotti was half retarded.

I just watched the highlights again, and if Nick says the goals were anything more than sheer luck he seriously is a biased whopper-eating Milanista. He should be feeling lucky that Pirlo was not called for a handball and Dida didn't shank the ball in his own net after such inept stupidity.

Determination? Effort? Milan fighting spirit? Nick was the same guy who was spouting Liverpool won simply because of LUCK almost a year ago. Lyon were the better side on the night and Milan were LUCKY to progress. Simple as that. I'm tired of reading biased and hypocritical Milanista reporting.

    Amen!

Right....midfield control leads to Sheva receiving the ball...beating the keeper..UNLUCKILY the ball hitting BOTH posts and Inzaghi or KAKA being there to put it in..and thats LUCK??

Coming from a team that relied on a keeper DROPPING the ball in a routine play forgive me when I say..

    I don't give a f*ck...

As always you will never understand...

Attack and Offense is foreign to Juve .... they faced a similiar team determined team in Arsenal problem is Juve gave up early..have too many Zlatan's (no heart) and not enough Pippo's (all heart) and crumbled not even getting ONE shot on net....

You want to compare Liverpool getting a PK and scoring from 40 yards out thanks to our inept keeper to this???

You can call it luck your ballz turn blue if it makes you happy....

    P.S. Burke...

Everyone expected our campaign to end at the Bayern match up

Barca shoudl concentrate on passing Benfica then they can think about playing Milan..and when we beat Barca more excuses will flow as it usually does when Milan wins....and wins...and wins...

ENJOY THE SCUDETTO...at least you are not totally useless like Inter this season

I'm with Nick on this one. In order to score; you have to be in the vicinity of the goal. Milan completely dominated the larger part of the second half and deserved a goal. Inzaghi being in the right place in the right time isn't luck; he does that so often clearly it's a talent (be it his only one).

You don't just receive luck either; you have to work for it. And that doesn't mean sitting back and letting Arsenal rip you apart without crossing the midfield more often than once or twice, not counting panic clearances.

Nick is a robot. Didn't you know?
PS I replied to your RETARDED sub post like three times but had to erase it for certain reasons..

    bottom line...

Ambro for Pirlo..Pirlo was off his game as he usually is recently..had decent possession but that was it..without a lead they needed someone to offer goal scoring support...plus defense because he then took Gatusso out who wasn't needed..

Maldini replaced Serginho who was the only one causing problems on the flanks..

Kaladze was able to play more offense...because Maldini covered Serginho's left which Kaladze had to do because Serginho was late coming back..
    what happened??

    Serginho was double teamed...
Kaladze moved up...fed a deep cross to Sheva...
Ambro jumped for it bringing two defenders with him in the air...
    Serginho was double teamed..

Sheva was all alone in the box and was able to get a precise shot out...hit two posts..the rest is history

The most brilliant fuckin BALLSY substitutino I have ever seen but yes if it didn't work they would call for Ancelotti's head..as they usually do when the team loses: coaches fault.

In Italy people are able to make a night out an amazing night just based on company and some good food...

Back at home I have had nights of going to a five star restaurant....concerts...clubs..after hours clubs and still people state "I'm bored lets get out of here"

Just a different pace to life which I love here....appreciation
