Well, I'm pleased because Russia deserves a trophy like this. Hopefully CSKA will make a good run in the Champions League next year. As you can see I'm sort of a fan of Russia, except for Abramovich. :D

I just saw the most ridiculous commercial ever. It was for David Beckham's new training video "Really Bend it Like Beckham." Apart from stating the quote I have below, he also tried to act all hard in front of the camera while sitting like a woman.

I dont even want you to think that I am trying to justify what he did.

He is completely wrong (I talked to him, he knows what I think), I was just bringing up an example of something similar that happen in the past (albeit, not as bad as this)

Emma, if you think I was equally wrong, thats fine by me. TBH, the whole thing was forgotten, until this fiasco came up. I am not mad at you at all.

This whole England versus the USA thing is a load of crap. I consider Paul a friend, and like Tom, Denco, Emma, River, and others from England

If I was ever to go there, I would hope that I could call a few of these ppl to meet up with for something to eat, and maybe an EPL game (preferably Arsenal !!). And the same invite goes if they were to visit Niagara Falls.

Enough is enough of all the bickering....

In a few months time, we may not have a place like this to tear each other apart !!!!
WORD.

Isnt and never has been America v Britain. The only Britain here against any americans is me because some of them (Nick, Andy, Burke) are really starting to bug me.

I dont think Jae or Paul hate Americans and you cant accuse them of that when they havent did a single thing to deserve it.

To be honest, I think they dont really give a fvck. :)

Whilst talking it was on in the background... now i dont know which american channel it was from... but how the hell do you americans suffer to listen to that??

The worst commentating i have ever heard

Every name miss-pronounced... the team name miss-pronounced

Guys that had absolutely no idea about serie a or juventus (not even realising why we were all going mad when ciro stepped on the pitch... even when the 500 banners were zoomed in on)
Ahh yes, I downloaded that cap of the match too (unfortunately, my particular predicament dictates that I wait a day after we play to download and watch the match, making sure I don't visit any football forums or websites, or talk to any of my friends who follow football)..

More than the way they said "Jooventus" and called Bresciano "Brescia", it was really stupid how (as you mentioned) they paid no attention to Ferrara's introduction.

Also, for the sake of keeping the score secret in the Lecce-Milan match that they were broadcasting on tape delay, they stayed silent when a roar went around the Delle Alpi for no apparent reason (this is when Lecce scored their second equaliser). I mean fair enough, you don't want to ruin it for the viewers, but when it comes to the scudetto race it's really kind of stupid not to let your viewers know what's happening in the other match.

Oh my God, now it's coming back to me. I can't believe those imbeciles there got the player Bresciano and the club Brescia confused. :wallbang:

And yeah they had no clue what Ciro Ferrara was doing out there.

Seriously, they need to get some new people in there. Perhaps I should send my resume into Gol TV.. ;)

 I'd love to see that.

"Your commentator for today is Andrew Beck"

I'm sure you'd do a much better job than those clowns at least.

I must say I like Paddy Agnew's style of commentary. I like his wry humour, and he's got some insightful things to say sometimes. Martin Tyler's also a good'un IMO
