You could make a Uni team, why not. But Uni teams end with Uni teams. I don't think Liverpool reserves have ever picked up any players from the Uni teams.

You can go try out with the clubs youth teams. But you really have no idea how competitive that is.

Andy and Burke, here's a british youth league. NI Milk Cup. They bring a USA team, they might have US teams in the club sections, try to make that sometime (which btw you won't).
