I'll take that beating.

Seriously though, I could be wrong but seven seems liked a decent guy. I just don't get why many people in here will just jump on someone because someone else is.

So much agro on here it's nuts.
You're right. And I'm not saying that because you used me as an example, I don't even care anymore. But whenever someone "attacks" one of the older members, they seem to form this gang who stands up for their members. It's all about group domination I guess. It seems you have to reach a certain standard to be accepted around here. And you're not going to be accepted if your opinion differs from theirs.

You're not in the position to comment really. Once again you talk like you have been around here for months or have Blandie by your side.
I'm not in the position to comment? Why's that Andy? I'll comment on whatever I feel like. There's no boundaries around here champ. Do I need to earn my special scout arm band before I can comment or something?

I talk like I've been around here for months? I have been around here for quite awhile now and it's not exactly hard to notice when it's this obvious. It dosen't really matter but I'm sure you guys can handle seven alone rather than turn it into a public slaying. I just don't get the agro. But as you were.

'Blandie' (Is that a pet name?) isn't by my side. I think she has better things to do and better people to hang around with than me. Though she will be when i'm screwing her :D

I'm off. Have yourselves a splendid evening.

I am reading Miracle of Castel di Sangro and I am thinking that the author is being quite insulting with his stereotping of Italians.

I think it is rude as he was a guest for the whole Serie B season and he makes fun in a stereotype point of view.

The book is humorous but this thing is making me annoyed.

What do you mean? Stereotyping Italians on a football level? It may sound strange, but much of those stereotypes are true. It's like Italians want to live up to those stereotypes.

I don't think the author is insulting because he stereotypes Italians. He's insulting because he is an arrogant, ignorant, myopic dickhead who thinks his culture, values, and way of thinking are superior to anyone else's -- and he cannot fathom how anyone else could be so backwards as to be any different from him.

Otherwise, to be serious, I found it to be an entertaining book.

It is entertaining and I am enjoying it and this is what I meant by insulting....his stereotypes appear as if he is coming from a more superior background and those people with their habits are primitive.

But it is definitely a good laugh and well written

It is the book that influenced me to get into my grappa kick of the past couple of years ... after reading about those major dining events at Signore Rezza's place. I just haven't gotten into the cigar phase yet. ;)

But there's bad grappa, and then there's good grappa. It's the difference between cheap gasoline :yuck: and a fine scotch :thumb: .

I'm all over Nonino's Monovitigno line, eventhough they're generally a bit tricky to get in the States. Plus Ceretto Zonchera and Antinori Tignanello. Fortunately, I have a job that pays me well enough to pickle my liver with the good stuff.

Troy Williamson, Erasmus James... Come on Americans, tell me that the Vikes didn´t feck up too bad not picking Williams.
Well, at least they didn't trade three Super Bowls to the Cowboys in exchange for Herschel Walker this time. :wallbang:
