And in regards to baseball. Andy, enough already. We know you hate it. Thank you very fucking much for continuing to sound like a goddamn broken record.

I have news for you. Some of us here actually love baseball, so if we would like to talk about, do me a favor and keep out of the conversation. And if you think that trying to hit a pitched baseball that comes at you in excess of 95 mph without any idea where it might be going is NOT mentally challenging, then hit me up with some of those pills that you are mistaking as Flinstone's chewables.
Hell yes, lets go Yankees!

The amount of people using this picture today... Quite comical really...

People using this picture as proof of something, trying to tell us something... So what are you trying to say...

Can you fill in the rest of the story... Oh theres more than jus a picture.. Really.. duh

Do you know what else went on, do you know what the reaction of everyone else was, what was said etc etc etc What acts of friendship were passed... No of course not, cause you were not there.. and frankly who cares about anything else when you have the money shot... Blah Blah Blah
The rest of the story ? That was the rest of the story : the part that the politically correct brigade avoided to cover too much. If that’s your idea of comical you’ve got a bloody macabre sense of humour.

What am I trying to say ? See my previous post : if you think it's going to take a colourful display for us to forgive, you got another thing coming.

So the heads of some Juve and Pool fan clubs shook hands? And only a tiny minority of Juve ultras gave that nice little ceremony the finger ? Ah yeah, that must mean Italians have moved on. So let’s be ashamed of those few rotten apples and instead focus on the details of our happy family reunion.

So Rush and Platini carried a banner with the names of the victims before kick-off ? The same Platini who celebrated on the victims' corpses and joked on French TV the day after ? And he was applauded by some of the authors of the butchery ? Shit dude I wish I could have seen that, even more so than the euroderby which I so wanted to attend but had to forget about because of work.

But you were there and you saw all of this. Wow, that surely makes you an authority and settles it forever, doesn’ it ?

Like bollocks it does. Here, let me use your same argument, only in a more pertinent way : are you Italian? No. Do you have acquaintances, relatives or ppl of your entourage who were directly affected by Heysel ? Probably, but that makes us even at the very best. In fact no one that isn’t Italian born, bred and raised - oops, that means pretty much everybody on this forum - has ANY right to tell me how to feel about this story nor "hit me with the truth".

Hello Libero, my hot little Belgian girlfriend. I regret to say that I probably would have been among the crowd opting for backs turned, finger extended. I just can't forgive until I have gotten revenge first. A character flaw, but then nobody is perfect.

Hey Libero,

I wasnt born in Italy, but was raised in a very similar way that you, and some others here were, that were born in Italy..

I think Nick, Pado, and Serge can agree with this also. Same customs, same family values, etc, etc.....

That being said, and to echo what Pado has already said, I too have vengence in my blood. Maybe its the Sicilian in me, I dont know....

I remember the incident, remember seeing the carnage (dont remember actually seeing the game, I dont remember ESPN showing any soccer at that time) on all the news networks here, plus all the pics in the newspapers, and I was extremely angry.

This hasnt been forgotten, not for a second, but do you think hurting, or possibly murdering Pool fans, many of whom probably werent even born before 1985, who come to Turin is the answer ?????

Vinman, I think Libero is just saying that there is no shame in not forgiving, no shame in giving the one finger salute. I doubt a man like Libero would advocate a violent response, just as I do not advocate any violence.

I my opinion, a good dose of hatred is good for a sporting rivalry. We don't have to be friends. Perhaps a piss bomb fiesta would cure my need for revenge, but I seriously hope that nobody is injured at the return leg in Torino.
