I have an iPod and an iMac.

I'm pretty much anti-Microsoft as Pauly said.
I know and you are one of the cool ones (who own an iPod)

I am also anti-Microsoft because of all the troubles I had with their OS but I own an iRiver (a Microsoft ally)

If you say what I'm knowing.

something banal like "actually the Montepulciano grape is grown in the Pescara/Chieti region and not the Aquila region".
Though you could be picky and say that none of the above are regions but rather places within the region of Abruzzo... If being picky and banal that is...

Paul, what's your opinion about the team? the squad, the coach and the management.

What do you think our chances are in promotion? What do you think about the coming two to three seasons in terms of competiteveness?

The iPod is nice and has great design and UI. But the downside is that they make it a proprietary hassle in some cases (supported codecs, getting something on there that isn't iTunes, etc.) and they charge a marketing and advertising expense premium over many of their competitors given comparative disk sizes and feature sets.

As far as transferring files, iPod is the bomb if you have iTunes already. I don't know all the crap Martin and Jack do but I know if its easy for my sister then anyone can do it.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd say screw the fat disk models. There is software out there that makes having the Big Disk rather pointless (e.g., the free MediaMonkey program does all sorts of rule-based stuff that can wipe and repopulate your player with highly structured folders and playlists with a single click -- and I never really need to listen to more than 10-20Gb at a time for weeks on end anyway). The only other reason to need a fat disk is video. And to be honest, I think the players suck at that ... I would much rather use something like a Sony PSP to watch video than one of the video-enabled music players.

So flash memory would be my preference, the less proprietary the better. But I think the iPod Nano is perhaps the best product the Apple guys done in the entire music space. Simple, clean, does the job, and miniscule. And I don't always encourage people to do the iSheep thing. But in this case, you can't go really wrong, IMO.

But then again, if you're thinking just flash memory, that's all San Disk does too ... and they're behind the whole iSheep campaign (which I think is brilliant, btw, because it's exactly how I feel about iPods).

For me one of the main reasons i prefer the ipod is its design and user interface... especially the user interface as i have children.
The ipod in my opinion has by far the best user interface of any of the similar products available today.

Not really sure what you are getting at there.. I'm not overly knowledgable on the field, but even so, i have some 3000 tracks purchased from various legal download sites... None of which were ipod specific (except the first 100 or so which were bought from the itunes store(which i found to be poor value for money comparing price to quality) and have had no problems putting them onto the ipod.

Also 100's of albums ripped using win media player (before i had ipod) which have also caused me no problems when putting them on the ipod.

Also, you do not have to use itunes, If you set your computer to show hidden files you can simply drag and drop your tracks to the ipod.

Cant speak for vid's as i dont have any on the ipod.

As for the price.. For the product i have, I am happy with what i got for what i paid.. It looks nice, any idiot can use it, It accepted all my songs without problem and generally works well... Also it has a great range of acc's available from apple and 3rd parties...

Very satisfied Ipod owner
