River, may i ask what age you were when you were a full on user?
17/18/19. Though I wasnt a typical full on user. I wasnt just taking drugs for 3 years for no reason. I took them when I needed escape which was frequent over that time and for various reasons which I wont go into. Sometimes it was just a fix, sometimes it was a daily thing. Sometimes I wouldnt need drugs for months. I've only ever taken drugs for escape, I wouldnt take them just to be 'cool'. I couldnt care about that and i never considered drug use to be cool at all. Its not something I did at parties or in groups. I did it alone or with my friend and we are the only people who knew about it.

Should i hit such lows again, which is unlikely, then id take drugs again. There isnt an alternative that works and with no alternative the outcome is certain.

River,

Coke, ecstasy, etc might not hurt you now, but down the road your body may feel the effects.........
They have hurt me. Im pretty burnt out for a 21 year old. I also get headaches constantly but ive always had headaches as long as I can remember.

i just caught your new blog.

Looks like your back abusing again:D:D

Just be careful. you're an adult and can do whatever you please, but keep in mind the effects when you get older can be pretty scary. I know this firsthand.

Please !!!! I have bigger concerns than under age drinking and pot. Almost every young person experiments ( I honestly didnt- sports was the big thing in my life, I never really even thought about drinking, smoking or drugs)

Serge- I'm proud of you for being able to quit the drugs !!!:thumb:
Vinman, seeing you're an officer, what are your personal feelings towards marijuana. Do you think it's correct to be illegal or doing you think they are a little too strict about it?

River, I'm afraid your blog isn't easy on the eyes anymore. You said you won't change it anyway, so this is redundant, but still. I hate that white on black lettering. :)

That´s one of the things that make this a great thread. :)

And River I´ve never agreed more with Andy. I have a headache as we speak. :D

Where I live, in New York state, you literally have to be caught with 2 pounds or more to be considered a felony (serious crime)

Anything less than that is nothing more than a slap on the wrist.......

I've pulled over many ppl under the influence of pot, and the effects are similar to alcohol, as far as driving under the influence. Your reaction time is slowed, vision impared, etc, etc....... So it can be as dangerous as alcohol

Not to mention all the gangs who deal in it (big money) which leads to turf wars, shootings, etc...bad news !!!!

Also, unlike alcohol, when you smoke it, anyone around you can also breath it in, and have the same effects. I have gone into TOO many houses where the adults were smoking it, and have kids in the area, breathing it in. THAT PISSES ME OFF !!!!

The only better effect, as compared to alcohol, is you rarely see a person under the effects of pot act aggressive. Their usually real calm and passive

why is everyone under the impression that white is easier on the eyes than black? White lettering isn't that hard to read, and I truly appreciate pages that don't use too much white, especially when it's late at night/early in the morning, the last thing I want is bright white light (i should be a poet) glaring in my eyes. That includes juventuz, which wisely enough uses grey instead of pure white...

Top job on the colour scheme River :thumb:
