Gattuso?

I am pretty sure he has not really done anything......except be a joke.
No way. Gattuso was the vacuum cleaner on midfield, regaining posession time and time again. If it weren't for Gattuso behind him, Pirlo wouldn't have been able to play his game.

Just that the directors never enjoy showing replays of players like Gattuso.

I think that was the first time I have ever seen two players from the same team take simultaneous dives in the box.

Nah, Portugal aren't a bunch of divers.
And I'm glad they're out of the running. Portugal should not be in this position anyway, and hopefully Germany will take the third place.

Or perhaps I don't, because I hate Germany.

Portugal played 10x better. Someting should have found the back of the net.

Oh well, we'll be back next time.

dive<>penalty

?
No, not exactly. While it was a foul I guess, I'm not sure that the foul warranted a penalty. That aside, Henry dived. Had he tried to keep his balance, it would still have been a foul and possibly a penalty, but there would be no dive. The problem is that referees only call fouls when the player falls, so these decisions aren't objective.

Grosso's case was similar.

Henry was actually kicked though. Yes, he could have maintained his balance, but chose not to so the ref could whistle for the (minor) foul. Grosso went looking to trip over a dude who was already down on the ground like a stranded whale and then continued to trip over his back :D

Thanks for the words of sympathy, guys. That's the breaks of the sport, though. As much as I admire Pauleta for where he's come from, he's not cutting it on the NT at this level of play. They need a Eusebio again, that's for sure.

And yes, some #$%^@%^ coworker has to blunderingly tell me the final score which I did not ask him for. So I shot him. I'm waiting for the cops to show up. And now I am here, typing on Juventuz.com with blood all over my keyboard.

Idiot...

I guess the good news is that this makes it very easy who to root for Sunday. :)
