I'm still laughing at the fact FIFA managed to rob every team bar Germany and Brazil. I don't even understand how they were able to do so. How do you manage to make people who get a penalty in the 94th minute feel "robbed"? How do you manage to make people who had a man in advantage for 45 minutes feel "robbed"? Thrilling stuff.
I was personally quite fond of Hugo Borst's comment last night:
"Dat was natuurlijk geen penalty, je kan iemand niet neerleggen met je rug. Maar ik heb er meer dan vrede mee omdat de Italianan vier jaar geleden zo verschrikkelijk genaaid zijn."
Marco Van Basten attacked the dutch minister who refused to grant a dutch pasport to Kalou: "She is supposed to help the nation's interest, and she clearly didn't, as we had no replacement for Van Persie or Robben. She must draw her conclusions" :rofl2:

Kalou wouldn't have made a difference anyway. Had he been there he would have failed immensely. Kalou's an average player at best and with the weight of a nation on his shoulders he would have broken down. If anything they need to thank Verdonk she didn't let that happen. Kalou's a prick for simply ignoring the Ivory Coast as well.

Its a sensitive subject to say the least & i find it utter disrespectful that players would openly dismiss their national associations. We had that same problem years back with Sean Dundee,he is South African & refused to play for the country rather opting for the German national team. Not that he was good or anything but look at him now,he's rotting away in some austrian team & was never ever considered for a call up.
Players like Ryan Giggs & George Weah are admirable because although they know that their respective national teams aren't that great they still have pride for their countries & play for them.Camoranesi was a totally different situation as he was constantly overlooked by the Argentine coaches & opted for Italy.
Personally i just dont see how players could pull on a shirt for a country other than their own & give their all.

Well in sean dundee's case he was born in South Africa,he's parents are South African & he was raised in South Africa how on earth could he deny his roots. If your parents are Swiss you are swiss, you cant go around choosing your nationality at random.
As i said Martin thats my view & i know its a very sensitive topic

So your parents determine what nationality you are? That is the end all and be all? So my parents being Polish overrides the fact that I lived in Norway for 18 years? If I were to call myself Norwegian "at random" (as you call it), that would be nonsense, would it?

Forget sensitive, if you wanna discuss it, let's discuss it.
