I like how you think though Landon and Convey could be intermixed. As for center back, don't forget Berhalter is back baby

. And I think inserting Johnson in support of McBride in a sort of Cisse at Liverpool role (half middie and half forward) is a must to exploit the age of the Czechs. Ill probably miss t the Latvia game tomorrow but let me know how it goes.
Well Donovan and Convey can be easily intermixed because the latter would just take a spot on the wing. Landon would have his usual duties of playing behind the striker and being the playmaker. Berhalter is indeed in the squad now, however I doubt that means Bruce will opt to field him. I have a feeling he will field Onyewu and Pope at the back, which is a dubious decision in my eyes because I do not exactly trust Pope.
The match against Latvia was nothing too impressive. Bruce fielded his favorite 4-3-1-2 formation consisting of Cherundolo, Pope, Conrad, and Lewis at the back with Beasley, Mastroeni and O'Brien in midfield before the usual attackers Landon, McBride and Johnson. Johnny O'Brien looked hungry and in form tonight and he's ready to give his all against the Czechs on the 12th. His performance tonight was SOLID and I could see him being the one to fuck up Nedved and Rosicky in midfield. You have got to love O'Brien.
We were fairly solid at the back despite a bunch of late chances for Latvia, however we did not create enough chances and the midfield did not seem to be very creative tonight. We missed Convey's forays on the left flank and if he would have started the result would have been better in our favor. Once again I say Bruce must find a way to fit him into the first team. All in all, I would say we completed these practice matches in quite mediocre fashion and hopefully we are saving ourselves for the real deal come the 12th.
