Yes, its more than your average player leaving, but its not as though you need him.. You have a great squad and his loss will make little difference...

Then compare that to our position...

Even if we manage to get away with it and stay in serie a we will lose half our squad (many of which have allready made themselves available to the market)due to the air around us, the new wage caps, the new direction the club is going in etc...

If we are relegated we lose virtually everyone(even our part owned players who will be picked up by their other halves)... Not only do we lose them all, we will lose them in a firesale for fuck all... We will be more than lucky to get even half our players real values... the vultures are allready swarming...

So yes at this time.. losing sheva is not a big deal...
Its actually devasting. Sheva arrived seven years ago and grew into a World Class player and Golden Ball winner..among other things...he may not have single handedly given us silverware but he was Milan's world class attacker after another type of devasting loss to our other world class striker at the age of 29.

Sheva was a pillar that the team could always count on for goals in Serie A and CL..Sheva was the player you never worried about....Sheva was the player you began to panick about if he was injured for long term...
Yes, the team will survive and it is pretty decent though not as solid as you suggest Paul and yes we will get a good chunk of change for him however, you don't get a player like Sheva that FITS into your team everyday...and we will not get another world class player that will be such a perfect fit for a long time..

For what it's worth, I liked Sheva

But I'll like him even more in the Chelsea jersey

He's not going there because Milan are in deep shit also!

Still, it wouldn't be a big deal, at least not for me.

    Zambrotta, on the other hand..

but screw that, why speculate when the fact of the matter is that Sheva finally started to use his brain and got the hell out of the armpit of the footballing world.
