well, I don't know about Christianity, but in Islam the unity, i.e. the worship in gathering is a big part and plays importance so I don't think that's possible. That would take away from it being a "religion". But if you mean in a sense that whoever so desires goes out into the streets with banners representing their religion in god knows what causes, should be stopped, then I agree. There's too much "free-for-all" out there. Everyone thinks they are the official representatives of their respective believes. That does a lot of problems, totally agree.
It's the same with christianity and that's what makes it all so dangerous. Do you even have a clue of what power an imam or a priest possesses? Do you even have a clue of what damage such big groups are capable of?

ofcourse I do. That's why "mulla-ism" ( i don't know if you're heard of this term) is so dangerous. These people use religion to feed people with hate and entice people to violence. Politicians do the same, infact these "religious" leaders motives are political. The root of the problem are power and money hungry people who use religion for their causes.

I don't know you've heard this but before Ayatollah Khomeini took power in Iran, he was in France where he was telling people that he was planning on bringing Communism to Iran. His people told him to instead bring an "Islamic" regime their instead because it would much easier to win the support of the people that way. And they were right, because people would and do literally kill in the name of God.

What I'm trying to say is that religion by itself is no more harmful then a political movement, but when the two mix is where danger emerges. So just as much as there is no logic in getting rid of politics there is no logic in getting rid of religion. That won't solve anything.

I promised I'll try to steer clear and not get all hot and bothered. Which I did IMO.
No, you promised you will not get in religious nor political discussion and restrain yourself to football discussion.

Look, I won't look up thread dedicated to religion, but I'll always continue to post in the Nick Against The World thread. I think I can make some little comments in a religion discussion as long as I refrain from insulting people (which I didn't even do last time, only did some people not acknowledge my freedom of speach).

I agree that Seven did not insult anybody . . . or better put, his words cannot be costrued to have the intent of insulting. If some people feel insulted that would be down to their own sensitivities and insecurities.

Now, Let us remove all religion discussions to other areas of the worldwide web.

The thing I respect about Rab is that despite the fact he's not a muslim or belongs to any religion, he stands up where it's due :agree:

Respect!

Thanks alot my man. Even-though I don't believe in religion, still, I respect what people believe and what not though I may disagree but It's part of our life.

If there wasn't any religion, just imagine how the world will be. people will lie more. kill more. rape more..etc. religion teachs us morals and values.
Change religion with God.

"If we don't believe that God exists lot of terrible things can happen in this world.. and the things are obvious...{killing, raping, stealing etc...} so Believing that there is God who's watching you is very good Indeed Even-though you don't believe in God, It's very important to Imagine that there is someone who's gonna Judge you in the after life"....

Fair enough, though I don't agree.
