Depends...what is your major??
My major is Environmental Studies with a concentration in Resource Management. I wanted to work for Fish and Wildlife or Customs specializing in protection of endangered species and smuggling.

Pretty big difference between that and state trooper. Either you are one of the most diverse personalities I've ever come across; or you'll be very, very sorry if you let this one go.

being a state trooper isnt all its cracked up to be-

it must get pretty boring running radar for 8-12 straight hours

having to deal with disabled vehicles time and time again must make them feel like the AAA

and worse yet, if a traffic stop goes bad, your nearest backup could be 25 miles away........

That is not a bad major at all...I was expecting something half baked like Sociology, Psychology or something with no intention of doing anything else. The job market in that area is growing...I have an Bachelor of Science in which I dealt exclusively with Environmental and that has opened doors for me overseas which the law degree could not. The market is growing and is being sub-categorized into hundreds of jobs...unlike computers it is something that is sure to be around for a long time.
I will not diss a State Trooper job because I know many people with Ph.d's who cannot earn enough money to rent an appt. On the otherhand the cushy State Trooper job comes with its fair share of benefits, insurance and flexible hours. My suggestion...get the degree and then if you must wear the state trooper hat.

    Cheers, ThePlaya. :pint:

What's up? How about spending most of my morning on my first day back at work trying to rid my laptop of the infamous WMF Windows exploit going on right now.

Man, some people really need better hobbies. :D

    What's up with you?
