Damnit Greg, you closed that double thread too early. I was going to write a channel 4 article myself. ;)
You still have a chance to start a new one. :)

Except replace "Mafia" with "Scientologists" and Moggi with John Travolta.

I have maintained all season long that Milan has yet to impress me like last season...they never found their rhtym and pace for more than 3 games...that said. They did display that dominating style in the second half while Inter scored on set pieces like most others do against us. That said..
two of those goals came from the most terrible calls of the season....on that note this was probably the worse case of officiating in Serie A this season..for both sides. Messina was too harsh at times and then extremely lenient at others.
How anyone could watch this game and say Inter deserved the win is beyond me. Inter has no style, no chemistry and no heart. We all know that despite this win they will lose big or tie the next few games. They are led by a coach who believes his own press and by a President who blames his failures on everyone else.
P.S. I love the Ancelotti comments. I also love how Capello is suddendly the Messiah of football. Guess what....we went through this about 12 years ago and if some of you were old enough to remember it was not a 12 game streak but we were NOT BEATEN IN TWO YEARS...
that said we also lost 3 CL titles (then European Cup) and Intercont. titles thanks to Capello. You will learn that Capello in Italy and Capello in EUROPE is night and day (actually I believe you already have).
Ancelotti has been at the helm for three full seasons. In that time he has won us a scudetto, a CL title ..kept us in the scudetto race for the other two seasons and brought us to the CL final the other....
A failure?? He has accomplished more than Mourinho has at Chelsea yet he is branded crap..
what logic.

Its a painful reality....

we will NEVERwin a CL title with this schmuck in charge...

I think that anyone, Andy or Burke included:) , could take over Juve, and be successful

just like Denco said, you will win games if your players are better than the oppositions...but when you come up against an equally strong team, then coaching becomes ever so important

how much coaching was really needed in yesterdays demolition of Cagliari ??

maybe so incubo; but do you not think that carlo is somewhat ignorant? (some milanistas have expressed the same concern) for example, milan's defeat to deportivo which left them out of europe. you'd have thought that carlo would've learnt something from it but milan still let in goals (which I believe they shouldnt have) against psv and of course liverpool and more recently schalke.

same goes with the set pieces thing. Throughout the whole season the defence is weakest when it came to set pieces, and no surprise there when the serie a highlights show this week actually showed most of the goals conceded by milan on set pieces this season. I find it strange that it seemed that Ancelotti has yet to do anything about this, the game against Inter proved it. What were the two defenders doing, letting Martins slip in front of them like that that led to the second goal? I also think that they could've done better with Adriano's header.

Ancelotti has done some great things at Milan no doubt but I am afraid Billy has a point when he said that carlo can no longer motivate the players; sooner or later..

Vincent, you bitch, trying to scoop me on the shoes.

Good job! I'm very impressed, and wouldn't mind corking Sally's shoe when you're finished with it :)

What kind of shoe do you prefer? I dont usually wear stilettos because they make me look too tall
Heels are good, but not a requirement. If you don't wear the ones you have then you really should forward them to Padowank. Attach a slide show of the shoes you are considering and I'll vote ;)

The panty-less shoe shopper

A girl walks into a shoe store without any panties on and proceeds to browse around the store for some shoes. While being fitted with different shoes, the clerk who is fitting her looks up and notices the absence of panties and proceeds to tell her, "ma'am, I'd love to fill you up full of ice cream and then eat it all out!". The woman slaps the clerk, grabs her things and goes home right away.

When she arrives back at her house she then recounts the story to her husband, who is sitting on the couch watching the game. After the story is complete, the husband mumbles an uninterested "meh" to her story. The woman gets quite angry at her husband and demands to know why he is not more upset at the sales clerk and demands to know what he is going to do to defend her.

The man looks up at his wife and says,

"First of all, you shouldn't be buying shoes on our salary.
Second of all, you should be wearing panties while you're out in public,
and third - I am not going to mess with a guy that can eat that much ice cream."

It's not so much about coaching as it is about respect. When Juve don't have a famous coach, someone who demands and receives respect wherever he goes, there's no way all those star players are going to be kept in line.

That said however, I think Alessandro del Piero would even be a better coach than Capello. Or Antonio Conte AFAIK. Capello has been a great coach throughout his career, but football changes. Which is why Ferguson should quit as a manager as well. Whereas Lippi only began to be succesful 10 years ago, we are all too aware of the fact Capello's succesful techniques origin from a more distant past.

Please try to formulate your own opinions and thoughts...I think anyone can go on a Milan fan site and copy/paste the point of view of others and then pass them off as their own.

By the way, I also didn't appreciate it when you copy/pasted my comments and passed them off as your own on a significant Milan site.

I really don't understand how people can sit back and look at Carlo as a mediocre coach who was of little contribution to Milan's success over the years...
    Considering:
He specifically created Pirlo's new role at Milan when no one including the under 21 team didn't know how to utilize his talent ...
He started Gattuso time and time despite the naysayers and critics labelling Gattuso talentless...
He gave a chance to individuals such as Cafu and Pancaro who became instrumental in helping them get the scudetto ...
More importantly, under his helm Milan was playing in an attacking fashion which Italian clubs have ignored for the last 10 years...Milan did not win via catenaccio or playing a defensive minded game..they brought their game to whereever they played....
