Andrea: What are you smoking dude??
Personally I don't think Miccoli is OR will ever be Del Piero...natural talent of a player is obvious and the vision, skill and creativity Del Piero has I don't think Miccoli has..not by a long shot. Although I don't rate him as a low as Paul who has distaste for the meatball I do think Juve put or is putting too many hopes on him. He shined in Perugia....some players show their teeth in small teams and then bring it up a notch in the bigger teams but I don't think Miccoli has it to be what Juve wants him to be. I don't think he can "star" in a big team like Juve.
He is cut from the same rope as the Alessandro Melli's, the Hubner's, the Nicola Berti's and the Legrotagglie's who are MADE for the smaller club.

Does any one QUESTION the possible Cassano or Miccoli debate??
OK, maybe it was a bit of a stretch, but the kid has some talent. You can never predict what will happen with young stars. Hopefully he will turn out to be a decent player, maybe not on par with Alex's skill, but you have to give him a chance.

Nah man, I wasn't smoking anything. Drinking was probably the case, at least from what I remember.

I thought we were talking about Miccoli not Del Piero :D
WHOA man that was harsh...I as a Milanista wouldn't even make that comment...but whatever I guess he has been disappointing as of recent.

Miccoli will be big time, better than Zola in the end. I have no doubts.
I hope your right, but i doubt it very much.

Micco is 25 years old... he aint a youngster, for a player of his position he is now peaking...
With his pace orientated play he will struggle soon.

Great players of his role appear early, never late

Looking at his performances this year he has offered next to nothing... a typical example of a player that people hype up jus cause he performed in a small team dedicated to him but cant step into a great team and show the same.

Cassano is a great player of miccos type... micco aint

Even with his average (injury plagued) season dp has given far more than micco has to juve this season

With soon-to-be 25 Piccoli is not exactly the youngest out there and IMO had passed the years to really develope into something special. He's a bit better than average, but he's no Cassano.

I'm leaving to start the festivities. Sofia will be christened tomorrow and the celebration is on.
Congratulations! :extatic: I don't know the customs there, but will she also get a new, similar name? My christian name is Antonina :)

I assume your talking about Miccoli?

I never realized he was already 25...

I personally think that Miccoli has been better than our other forwards. He nearly always did well when played and his average ratings confirm this.

Thanks Nina. The new Christian name comes with "Confirmation", around the age of 14, but the new name is only for the ceremony and is never used.

I tend to forget that Miccoli is no longer a youngster, but I think Italy is fortunate to have Cassano and Miccoli in the player pool. I really think that Cassano is special, gifter by God and all that. I do believe in Miccoli and if I am proved wrong next season, then Miccoli will get his wish - playing for Lecce.

I wish Miccoli would of learned how to play that right attacking midfield spot, because he would be more of a consistent threat than Camoranesi. But again, that might just cause more problems for our defence, with too many players forward.

In a season like this one that Juve just had that is not saying much...don't forget he had a lot to prove: first season, earning a spot, expectation, etc. I don't think he flat out stunk but I never expected him to "lead" Juve to glory...I still don't.

Sorry man I did not mean to be harsh. It's just that your story sounded a bit fake to me. Are you sure they did not tell you "vaffanculo" in a kidding way? Like "no need for your sympathy, gobbo"?
Sorry to disappoint you..but, it's not FAKE.. they said it just to make fun out of it.. on MY ACCOUNT...

and guess what.. I went to the cafe last night and they came in.. I went to them and told them face to face..

"Vaffanculo.. :( .. Yes, I know what it means"

they were just :dazed: and :mute: .. I continued.. (trying to provoke them) "you have no dignity or honour at all..!! I was nice to you and you were just assholes.. F*ck you.. "

unfortunately, they left without saying or doing anything.. I was looking forward to beat them..

It was good you put them in their place because they had no right to say that especially in the polite manner in which you approached them BUT the whole "I'll beat your ass thing"..come on dude: its not worth it and it does not prove a damn thing.

about miccoli.. I think he showed great performance in most of the matches he played.. I'm not saying that he is the next DP or he's better than cassano.. but, he is a special case and every player is unique in some way..

and it's harsh to say that he is a small team kinda a player.. he only played for one season with Juve.. give him some time.. maybe he will turn out to be great.. he definitely got the potentials..

Ah yeah, it's like that here too, a lot of people take a middle name. I didn't bother, although now that I think about it, maybe I should have taken something like Ramón :D

I have to agree with that. Give Miccoli some time and we will see what kind of player he really is.
