I realise that. I was merely pointing out that I don't believe the majority of Iraqis would agree they had it better under Saddam. With the exception of the Soonites (spelling), who obviously did.

I'm not saying that everything was peachy, but IMO the majority of people at least had peace and some sense of safety, withouth having to worry about getting blown up in a supermarket. I know a lot of people that spent time in Iraq in the 80's, my best friends father worked on the construction of Saddams underground bunkers, and all I'm saying is that perhaps the price paid for "democracy" is too high.
