Im trying to avoid someone at the moment who wants to take a drive with me at 1 oclock in the morning. Too tired to do it, so I dont want to log into MSN to have a chat with him..

I actually preferred Rehoboth Beach in Delaware to Ocean City when I lived in the Maryland area. Ocean City was a little too much of "get all your cheesy conveniences back home by 'down ocean'".

Of course, between the two you pretty much had the DelMarVa Speedo-wearers society, if you know what I mean (and I think you do). So you had to be careful of where you turned off the highway late at night after drinking without attracting some "unintended attention"...

Btw, on I-80 from SF approaching Sacramento, there's a roadsign for US Highway 50 that indicates Ocean Beach ahead some 3,000 miles out.

Rehoboth Beach is sort of like a mini Ocean City without the big city feel. My favorite Delaware location is either Bethany Beach or North Fenwick Island...both are close to Ocean City where you can go to clubs or good bars while still staying in a small town or beach village setting. The only problems with the Delaware beaches is that they are usually just as crowded as OC, but with only less beach available. And the waves seem to break closer to shore...not good for bodyboarders like me.

And yeah...I think Erik would be a huge fan of South Rehoboth.

On the way out of Ocean City on Route 50 there is a sign that says Sacramento 3000 miles away or something along those lines.
