I take it someone hasn't read Alexis de Tocqueville in class yet...
:D. I'm just not that fond of lies. I find "you can achieve anything if you work for it" tragic. It destroys many lives when people start realising it simply isn't true.

I actually preferred Rehoboth Beach in Delaware to Ocean City when I lived in the Maryland area. Ocean City was a little too much of "get all your cheesy conveniences back home by 'down ocean'".

Of course, between the two you pretty much had the DelMarVa Speedo-wearers society, if you know what I mean (and I think you do). So you had to be careful of where you turned off the highway late at night after drinking without attracting some "unintended attention"...

Btw, on I-80 from SF approaching Sacramento, there's a roadsign for US Highway 50 that indicates Ocean Beach ahead some 3,000 miles out.
Yea, I meant its the best beach in maryland probably. But yea, delaware has all the nice ones. But you gotta be careful. A few years ago I was there w/my family and we were walkin on the boardwalk, all you could see was gay guys kissing. I was not comfortable with that at all, especially since i was there with my family :yuck:

DelMarVA Speedo wearer society? I actually don't know what you're talkin about :D

About that sign, they gotta mean Ocean City, 'cause that's on route 50, and ca 3000 miles from California

Combine the above two paragraphs, and you have exactly what I'm talking about. ;)

Yep. I'm surprised they mark it out that far, but they do.

What was up with Dida on goal no.2 for 04? He often gets rooted to the ground like that.. though I think he thought it was going out in this instance.

But it was a great shot actually.

Dida should of easily had it. There is no question that he was at absolute fault for that goal. The shot was good, but a keeper of his calibre cannot make mistakes like these.

I read it was a great shot but in my opinion Dida has not been the same since the second Inter CL match....I don't know if it was the combination of the flare and the badly needed rest ... after playing in Coppa, Scudetto and CL he went on to play for Brazil ....

I have said it before so I'm not surprised by the result: this team is FAR from finding its groove ... these last wins were just the result of certain players shining through their talent..

Hopefully they will get into their groove when other teams fizzle (Inter) or slump (juve)

    we shall see

The shot's strength was average and it was 100% saveable. He also had a couple more dodgy moments and for the first goal, even though Schalke had a slight luck ( cafu mostly at fault, but I think it was Nesta who deflected it in an attept to clear) Dida was dis-orentated.. I wouldnt blame him solely for the goal but as soon as you see the highlights you will see what I mean.

The draw was fair from how the match was played, but this would of been a good chance for AC to snatch the win. Schalke have been having pathetic games in the bundesliga and whilst they have not lost they had problems scoring infront of goal.. even when they played against 10 men. There are also internal problems blah blah.. but then again playing infront of 60,000 Schalke fans is intimidating.

AC's defense is looked very uncharacteristic. There were a few dodgy moments in which if Schalke's finishing was sharper it could of easily been a goal. There was also a stupid lapse in defense in which Schalke managed to lob out the a sleeping defense, but cocked the chance in the end.

Anyway see the highlights and you will know what I mean.
