It's not as worthless as it sounds...especially when you will meet the girls afterwards.
Personally, when I was at school... I allways went for the approach of taking the girls that werent involved in sport down the common whilst these matches were taking place... Much more worthwhile imo

Why do you ask?
Because i didnt know what you meant...

Nah, I meant why did you ask if we attend female soccer matches?
Oh right... I was asked to write something about the popularity of womens football, especially in those countries where the mens game isnt so popular... As such jus wondering if any of you went and if so what your experiences were...

Well I never really had an interest in professional female football, as most fans of that are of course female soccer players and their parents. But as I already stated I do like the matches of female teams at my college or high school, so I would attend those.

The most played youth sport in America is indeed soccer, and I must think that is also correct for the strictly female populous. Not much interest in the professional leagues, as they had to shut down the female version of the MLS.

Following on from last weeks statement regarding inter filling a lower percentage of their stadium than us over 2 home games each....

Now that milan has played 2 home games we can see that milans percentage is 36.2 which is some 1.4% less than us...

Inter lies in tenth position percentage wise followed by juve in 11th and milan in 12th.... (inter have 3 home games though )

Also worth noting hat only 5 clubs so far have broken the 50% ave barrier

Also... at te moment there is amassive fuss about a drop in attendances within the epl...

But compared to serie a ....

Te lowest % rate in the epl would only be beaten by 4 clubs in serie a ...

Only 4 clubs in the epl have a lower % rate than serie a's best so far...

12 epl clubs have oveer 90% and 4 99% or more

Clearly a fuss over nothing...

Paul, my problem with Tom's post did involve the pope thread it involved the thread on Christianity which Andy posted (the exact post) about 7 pages back. Howling at the idea of Christ and the reason why christianity is followed...it was ridiculing the believers, be-littling the faith. No respect for others...thats the bottom line. Its in there..read it if you like either way...whatever...I'm not a devout Catholic but is was a white-trash like comment.

    Blandie:
    1. I never saw Kaiser go on about the Pope. I was not even talkign about the pope thread...and if I had a problem with it I would confront him. Like I did on the Berlusca issue in XTRATIME and like I did over his analysis of Italian-Americans..
don't assume you KNOW people child...you keep saying I don't know you, etc. TRUST ME SUGAH..you don't know me despite what you think.
    2. I got on Zlatan WHEN HE WAS MOD...my arguments didn't end when he was a moderater..however, he surprised me because usually he is not a man of his word but he turned out to be..so I was fair in praising..when it was due. Again don't assume things Candycane.
    3. My problem with JAE is the fact that anytime I am arguing with another or making a comment he feels the need to be a geniune sh*t-disturber with me. He gets a kick out of it fine..what ever flogs his log. But please don't play your Psychoanalysis game here Pumpkin-Pie...save it for the late night binges where people are too drugged out to reason.

Paul, I know its not yoru point but I have a question...take Milan for example...
Milan sold 50 thousand plus season tickets..and the Curva second ring remains packed to the rafters...so at the end of the day..is the club worrying about attendance or not??

Look, swag, if you banned him because you think he was a dual account, please ban me. I've been far worse than Centro in my time on the forum and it's not fair that my brother gets banned because of me. That way you'll be sure there are no dual accounts as well.
is it me or that wouldnt really make a difference

I am watching a programme on RAI called Domenica Sportiva, and there was a segment in which they were talking with Capello, Giraudo, and Buffon while they were having dinner. Somebody from Lega Calcio presented them a plaque about Juventus...not really sure what that is about cuz I can't follow this Italian.

They have a huge panel of experts, including Claudio Ranieri, so this show looks pretty damn good...if only I could understand it. Do they always have interviews with coaches and players like this?

And by the way, they interviewed Roberto Mancini after the match today and again that guy just rubs me the wrong way. During the interview he could not stop wiping the sweat away from his face and he looked a bit flustered...poor guy could not think of any rubbish to say.

Yes, the show has been on for decades and they always have a panel of permanent guests (Tossati: big guy with grey hair and moustache..Mr. Resident Expert. The slicked haired dude in the back does the SLOMO replay of 'incidents' and questionable calls) They also have coaches and players invited in studio to comment . The show is OK but to be honest the OTHER show in Italy CONTROCAMPO is much better.
Domenica Sportiva go off on tangents and their in house people are nothign compared to Controcampo who (being a Berlusca station) is very much like an NFL post game show..they have former players and former coaches analyzing the keepers, defenders and attackers...they interview the bigger names and are generally more entertaining.
However, Domenica Sportiva is better than nothing.
Andy...Mancini is an overrated SOB but it seems as though it was hot at San Siro because minutes later Prandelli (Fiorentina coach was being interviewed and also sweating)
Prandelli was asked to comment on Veron's statement:
Luca Toni said Materazzi and Veron were really going overboard out there with the kicks and fouls...Veron replied: "Tell him to go play with dolls if he doesn't like it."
Prandelli's comment: "That's not even worth responding to"

Yeah Tossati seemed like he thought he was the shit talking with Capello...sometimes the guy did not seem interested at all in what other people had to say. Very stoic if not boring look on the man. And who is the bald guy running the show and the milf co-host?

If I'm not mistaken Buffon's girlfriend Seredova was one of the guests as well...she might not add much to discussion however she sure spices up the scenery, kinda like Claire.

I have always liked Prandelli and I think he's twice the man of Mancini. The comments made by Veron just show how arrogant some of these Interisti are, and I would bet the bank that it partly stems from Mancini's big mouth and "better than thou"attitude...hang out with assholes become an asshole. I also thought Veron was better than that as well..

Shame I can't really follow what they're saying...hopefully I'll fix that within a couple years at State College.

Andy... or any other americans do you ever goto see womens football in the states ?
Aprrox. 2 years ago, Raleigh's team won the Women's League (WUSA) and then the league folded for lack of funds. I did attend a few matches, and some matches when Raleigh hosted the USA National team vs. Italy and vs. Finland. Good stuff. Now, we just have the college game.

Says the guy who keeps talking about me, bringing up my name. I have nothing to say about IncublowRossonero, he bores the focking bejesus out of me! All I ever hear out of you is the same old cliches and name calling. Don't believe I've ever even said a bad word about you apart from when I'm defending myself.

Get over it, move on and for the love of god block me. This shit is literally starting to retard me.

    Jaecole is no angel either.

Don'tv worry jaecole, as soon as these guys can't win with arguments they'll say you're only here to antagonise. Then they'll go on and say you're looking for attention. All this time they forget about the actual argument, which isn't necessary to "own" you, because saying that you're looking for attention is enough. To put it boldly, IncuboRossonero and Andy are the two most frustrated losers I have ever come across.
