thats expensive. Man i remember when gas was a 1$ a gallon

Especially if you keep in mind the salaries here, it's a bloody rip off.

When I was in Egypt the taxi driver filled the car up for 5$ :wallbang:

Answering Andy
I filled the tank up in PA on Friday and it was $3.75 a gallon. Surprised you lot are paying less because Chicago usually gets hit hard with gas prices.

Thing is with a city like Chicago it actually makes more sense not to have a car.
Yeah, exactly. My cousin lives on Lake Michigan, a few blocks away from Wrigley Field, and she just takes the El downtown everyday.

When I was there in June I-94 coming out of downtown was packed...even at 12:30 in the morning on a Saturday. Not to mention the toll booths around O'hare...that crap is just fvcking dumb.

I'm 35.

That's hardly middle aged.
:D

About petrol prices; they were just raised to €1,60 per liter here in Holland (that's US$7.58 per gallon) and my parents are now officially looking if it's worth it to sell the car. Once again the poor have to give in to the suffocating pressure of capitalism :lazy:

That number is very skewed Zlatan. Especially when this country is crazy for racing video games. ;)
The number of american tourists here that rent cars and burn them out cause they cant drive a manual is unbelievable.... Happens all the time
