Neymar costs 30 million euro from what I read.. if we dont sign Matri, Motta and Pepe from their loans .. that would be the majority of the money needed to sign him. What a dream that would be.. Then sign Quag and Aquilani and Beck and bring home Giovinco.

-------Quag---Neymar
Gio/Marchisio---Aquilani--Melo--Krasic
De Ceglie--Chiellni--Bonucci--Beck
---------Buffon---------

They paid a shitload of money for him. Heck, they even paid 35 million Pounds for that useless tree trunk Andy Carrol, who will probably get jailed after 5 months after another pub brawl.

Do you see us forking out 30+ Million Euros for a young and promising talent from Brazil? We are not Milan. If he were Italian, perhaps we would. :shifty:

No to the Q posed in para 2.

We are, as any sane Juventus supporters realizes, completely unable to compete in the modern game with the likes of The top 2 Spanish clubs, the Milan clubs, the top 4 EPL clubs and Bayern Munich.

Principally because our financial position is weak due to three factors:-

Our prospects of CL qualification

Our low attendance figures severely limiting income streams

Our plummeting reputation as a power in world football.

The Pazzini and Forlan 'negotiation' illustrated this with such clarity and pain.

Marotta has admitted we are now resigned to asking for discounts (Aquilani) or are reduced to going for players of a generally lower calibre (Matri, Toni, Etc etc).

Why did Luis Suarez transfer to Livepool, when there's a pretty good chance they wont be playing CL football either?
You have to remember, Suarez is a regular starter for Uruguay & he really doesn't have stiff competition. Now compare the Brazilian national team to the Uruguayan team, there's no comparison to the amount of talent at disposal to the national team coach. The only way for a young Brazilian player to get recognition & possible playing time for the Brazilian national team is to join a big name club in a strong league along with CL football, that will provide maximum exposure.

We can't offer that, people don't really wanna watch Serie A. The video & audio quality sucks, the english commentary sucks, not everybody understands Italian, so that commentary doesn't help & also there's fuck all positive media coverage for Serie A. The only chance we have to secure Neymar is if we guarantee first team football, along with Melo maintaining his place in the Brazil team because that means the coach would keep an eye on Juventus games. Sadly, it's not looking rosy for us at all.

If they were reluctant to splash 30+m on an in form striker in an established league, why on earth would they splash that amount on a young player with potential?
