Twitter, that’s where that whole thing is popular with the gender pronouns and shit. Just stay away from Twitter and you will rarely hear that stuff
Yeah I figured that shitty mouthpiece cesspool of a place amplies and exaggerates everything. Its effecting even Sweden, the usually cordial and respectful political discourse is growing toxic because of the changing effects twitter and Facebook has on the behaviour of different groups.

I was at a standup set and the guy had a bit about how he couldn’t care less about someone’s sexual orientation, race, etc etc and hated people only if they were extra. And proceeded to imitate his gf’s gay best friend who sounded like Chris Tucker from the fifth element.

and I couldn’t agree more, extra people are the worst.

I know plenty of regular joe gay dudes, and whenever we joked on this topic, they say its not simply about just being more feminine because that's part of it sometimes. But that someone like this simply craves attention at all times and his sexuality is just another way to attract maximum attention.

Are you gonna sell them?
I dont know yet, dont think so for now. My entire family here in Sweden inherited alot of camels because of a great grandfather/uncle who owned 400 of them passed. For now just letting other relatives take care of them over there.

First it was just a bizzare novelty. Until we learned just one in this herd may cost between 4k to 11k dollars. Me and my 3 brothers have together 120 of them. We had more, but early on sold 20 of them to buy land to build a school in his honour, in the town this great uncle was from.

This is the right thread for Coldplay. Because I never got wtf anyone sees in that bland vanilla group.
Most either seem to love them or hate them. I don't like their newer stuff, but their first 3 or 4 albums were fantastic and some of my favorites ever. If you're not into big songs with a lot of emotion or meaning, something to connect with, then I can see why some wouldn't like it.

When you think about it, extra cis heteros are pretty much just as ridiculous. So I hear that.

But what's the deal with women who need their token gay male friend though? Reminds me of Derry Girls when they were fighting over someone because it would be cool if they had a token Protestant friend.

That was actually entertaining. Rare I say that watching someones yootoob reco.

And damn, I lived in SF for nearly 30 years and there is gay slang in there (versatile? gold star?) that I had never heard of before.

But you're right about attention potentially being a big part of it. A few years ago I remember a lot of articles among SF's gay community about becoming "normies" ... how being gay and acceptance of gay marriage meant they were no longer special and thus were now mainstream and corporate. Wanting their cake and eating it too: "I want to be accepted, but I want to feel special!"

That's a major problem with confrontational activism. Some get so addicted to the provocation that they lose sight of why they're even in it in the first place.

I havent listened to them in depth. What I have been exposed to has generally been a bland sound without much personality. And I'm generally easy to please guy when it comes to music, I can see value or entertainment factor in almost any genre.

Most of the popular radio songs are actually my least favorite. Clocks is just meh, Viva La Vida is meh, Speed of Sound is meh, the Scientist is pretty good, but I actually love Paradise.

Some of my favorites are Spies, Everything's Not Lost, Politik, Rush of Cold Blood to the Head, Amsterdam, What If, Violet Hill, and Animals.

You might enjoy this one too, similar theme

And yeah those terms new to me too, the best one was platinum gay, c-section birth

And yeah you are right on that, if you have almost militant activist attitude, wether its your sexuality, race, gender or even your diet (the last is the worst lol, they try to brainwash me on daily lol), then it becomes part of your identity. So some have hard time switching that mode off even as grown adults who settled in normie lifestyle. Cant leave behind as you say, the confrontational activism one had in your college youth. Addicted to just trying to lecture people on shit, and blind to the fact things are good or better now.

So you have potentially half million to a million dollars in camels you don't use but keep around as a novelty?

Its a family cooperation thing, we share everything and invest together over there, so not touching that until we have a plan. We bought land multiple times, generally the go-to-go investment, besides supporting different small bussinesses, built a big house for my late father there when he retired there in his last years, and helped build school or hospital in different villages for relatives. Otherwise we dont touch it too much.

The novelty is the fact its camels, first impression was "wtf, someone left me camels, seriously"? :D Until over the years we seen it for the asset it is. But it really doesnt feel like mine, its a relative I never met, and talked to once over the phone as a child, and its a asset that belongs to Somalia so we generally have the mindset that it needs to be reinvested there.
