In terms of reputation, they arent wrong.Minus the big 4,the biggest out there is probably Newcastle. They've just underachieved in the most criminal manner.
How are they the biggest outside the 'big 4'?

They haven't won anything since 1955 and haven't won the league since the 1920's.

All they have is a big crowd and a decent stadium.

:agree:

They are certainly not a bigger club than Everton, Villa or Spurs.

    Not sure how it started.

The clubs used to get on well (numerous transfers and friendlies in the 70s and 80s) and the fans, primarily the Casual (hooligan, to the uneducated) element carry it on.

I think it's partly because Rangers are mates with Chelsea.
    Ahh, I see.

Well, can't say if I was an Aberdeen fan I'd like to be "buddies" with Tottenham.

Most Spurs fans I've met are alright.

There are plenty of EPL teams that have far more annoying fans than Spurs.

Aberdeen were mates with Hellas Verona, but that ended earlier this season after an Aberdeen Casual punched a Verona fan in the Verona curva because he had a Rangers hat on. :D

All these negative feelings versus the EPL annoy me. Why are people so frustrated if others call the EPL the best league in the world? I don't give a damn, I enjoy Serie A better.
