BREAKING NEWS: Juventus Dead (1897-2010)

New York Times - The famous Old Lady died this evening after a longlasting illness.

Four years ago Juventus Football Club suffered a severe breakdown with Calciopolitis. Immediate intervention by famous specialists Alessando Del Piero, Gigi Buffon, David Trezeguet, Pavel Nedved and Mauro Camoranesi saved the clubs life.

After a phase of Rehabchielliniation and promising Marchisiotion the organisation seemed on its way of recovery. In the last 12 months, however, the condition deteriorated constantly. The club suffered from Ferrara problems, Zaccheronitis, Grosso's Disease and Grygera fever which were incurable.

The Old Lady died today in New York after three Red Bulls. The club will be missed by millions of supporters around the world.
Epic! :delpiero:

Just got back home from the match. Despite the abysmal result, I was so fucking happy to finally see Juve in action. To see hundreds of other people wearing the black-and-white, to see Del Piero, it was an awesome experience.

It's just too bad that the match was shit.
Few players did anything to indicate that they deserve to play for Juve. Iago looked decent, Amauri as always scored when it doesn't matter, Zebina's a moron. The team clearly doesn't have any footballing identity, which is something that Del Neri needs to fix ASAP.

Stadium was full of Juve supporters, and while few of them were willing to sing or chant, we had a couple Juve chants as well as a " Inter, vaffanculo" chant at the beginning. Fun day for sure, missed out on the autographs at the end, but finally met some of my fellow juventuz members :D

I was there Section 111

Manninger - left for dead with this "defense"
Zebina - should be dead, got burned every time and made our right side our major weakness.
Bernardini - put in good effort.
Brandao - blah.
Grosso - don't even know why he came.
Marrone - star of the midfield except for one mistake that almost cost us a goal..
Padoin - meh.
Candreva - put in good effort but often found himself with no one to pass to..
Diego - nice foot work but looked exhausted
Del Piero - exhausted/old but still put in work when he had the chance
Trezeguet - or you can say Trezeghost
Iago - was such a pleasure to watch and once he came on he was running the show.. he has the potential to be big.
Amauri - put good effort for what the game was..
Paolucci - looked like he wanted to put effort in but just not 100%

Everyone else, I did not notice anything spectacular.. the team looked demoralized and tired.. MLS season just started compared to ours just finishing but I wont even factor that in.. there's a lot of work to be done.. now I'm even more nervous for next year.. Delneri better take a short vacation... and Marotta better not take any and get cracking..

Great experience Henry, I'm glad you felt it but on the other hand I'm sorry you have watched this Juventus and this kind of game.

Yeah, well, at least it was only a friendly. And hopefully things will only improve...At least I got to go, which was absolutely thrilling. Hard to describe seeing someone like Del Piero for the first time live....pretty fucking amazing :theflag:

In an interview after the match, he said "We want to think the fans that came out and gave us a very warm welcome, it was a shame that we could not have put on a better performance that they deserved."
What's really a shame is that Del Piero is at the end of his career, and instead of being used in the right way and right time as part of a good team, he's playing in possibly the worst Juve team since he's been alive, and everyone expects him to be a magician and save us no matter how crappy the rest of the team is. It's too much for his shoulders

That's true but he already won everything so he didn't waste a single moment with us.
Hopefully the things will improve as you said.

Happy for you guys in the US. I understand your feelings, watching Juve for the first time was a great moment for me. I watched Juve play live FIVE times (four in UK and one in Rome), the first one against Liverpool is stuck in my mind and I remember it like yesterday. Of course, It was worth it even though Juve lost four and drew one. Actually, except the loss to Fulham this season, I was humiliated and harassed by Fulham fans, it wasn't nice.

7+1, it seems that all humiliation we felt happened this season.

Actually, I left Anfield, Highbury and Stamford Bridge happy despite the losses. But watching Juve getting thrashed in Craven Cottage this season was absolutely awful especially that I was sitting in what they call in Craven Cottage 'Neutral stand'! I was sitting next to my friend and five italians and completely surrounded by Fulham fans, it was pure humiliation

Being a juventino these days, certainly compared with being an interista, only means your currency as a fan goes up.

Glad you got to experience that. :)

Im happy for all members who saw the games finally.

Result was not important, but if players did not put an effort, then we might be in deep shit next season. I hope De Neri gets full board support and bench anyone who doesnt show fighting spirit.
Enough is enough.

Next season we might have a chance if Inter appoint Mihailovic despite knowing that they have monsters team.

In that case Ranieri will be best coach in whole serie A, my god, what will be tournament next season :(
