it's a worm... :)


Anyway, if you have updated windows regularly, it can't harm you.

it runs in the name of msblast.exe. Infected systems often report an error in the RPC service and force a reboot.

Yeah, email is the most popular source of infection. For anyone using Outlook or Outlook Express, I can recommend Mailwasher to scan (and filter) your mail before you open any of the mentioned clients. Mailwasher is designed to filter spam but since it displays messages as pure text, it will also protect you against viruses because it doesn't open the messages in the same way Outlook [Express] does. Then you can delete those that are spam and you get rid of the virus as well. :)
