Are there any real risks involved btw?

For example, do I get beaten up by Jeeks and Don Bes when I'm broke?
Actually, don't you mean you beat up Jeeks and Don Bes and steal their money when you're broke? :D

Or heckled and mugged when you want to trade your money in right?

This just seems like alot of work without having the 'power' of being a mod. Let the people who aspire to being a more prominent member on the forum take this over.

Valid point. We could just let the moderators do all the bookmaking.

However, if there are people who are willing to dedicate some time and effort into this without requesting extra powers, that would be nice. It's supposed to be a fun thing to do, not work :)

Well, there are certain criteria people would do it. If its daily work then im just simply not around often enough then, and so is about 70% of the forum. Then you only have around 30% to choose from who actually can perform the tasks, let alone willing.

Maybe as an incentive you can offer access to the mods forum..?:D

Well, it's an easy job, creating a vBookie event is no different from starting a new thread, you just add a little more info to the thread. There should be at least one even every time Juventus plays - the game results. We could also do "Will Trez score?", "Will there be a penalty in the game?" etc.

That sounds fairly handy - not terribly different from a poll as is. I think the mods can mostly handly it. If we get one or two other volunteers, that's great too, but it's no biggie.

I hope the new site to have better options than the current one
It does, and Marty seems to have further plans, though they can wait!

mikhail: Yes, it's very similar to creating a poll as you say, feel free to test it on the new forum, just start a new thread and check "Yes, post a vBookie Event with this thread".

Most of you should know by now that Juventuz.com will get a new fresh look with new features. One of these features is one that's been requested by our members for some time now: vBookie.

vBookie is a "bookmaker" hack for vBulletin where our members are given an amount of virtual money (vCash), which they can spend on events, such as game results, who scores in the game etc.

I'm looking for a few people who will volunteer to act as Bookmakers for these events, as regular members aren't allowed to start their own events (for obvious reasons - it would get messy).

Let me know if you're interested. You need to be very dedicated and visit Juventuz.com on a daily basis. Moderators will be able to act as bookmarkers as well so you don't have to apply. :p

Other new features are coming to the new forums as well to make it even more entertaining, but let's take it one step at a time. ;)
    great

Being a regular visitor of unibet, I can get the quotes from there and start the booking threads. Thank you Marty, it was my idea as I remember and I salute you for bringing it into life :)

Edit: I have done vBookie threads on another site several times.

All these sub options are abundant on unibet, but only for CL games. The regular league games are just normal bets or bets on accurate result.

Anyway, sites like unibet, betandwin, expect etc. have different tickers; they differ a bit but not by much. I suggest only one person should be allowed to create the event so that consistency be achieved.

Another thing, when I used to do these threads on the other site, it was limited to single events only, can you check if the new vBookie has multiple bettings allowed? I don't think so, it gets complicated.

As for the money, are you planning to grant all the members a certain amount of virtual dollars? If so, are you planning to create other events for members to gain money, we all know that betting will not be giving benefits all the time.

Another thing that has nothing to do with betting, please don't add arcades, it is really distracting and the öevel of participation on the foum will drop drastically, I've wittnessed that several times.
