Im new here and as such i doubt what i say will carry any weighting, i probably will pay to stay on if enough people are doing it. Just want to say thanks to Byrone for continuing with the forum and its a shame that you need donations to keep the forums going. I am assuming that the donations wernt the first route you went down and that it was probably a last resort situation and as such you were prepared for the immature reactions of some posters.

But if you have to make it a donation run forum:

Why not make it a quarterly $5/E fee, or monthly or every six months so that if people dont like the way you run it they can decide not to continue after the quater. Aside from this it will encourage more new posters as they wont be put of by being asked for $20 upfront for something they dont even know about, who posts on etc. etc. *on a different thought* you will need to offer a free trial to new members *end of thought".

Thats actually quite close (bit more, XT is bigger) to the server fees costs of Xtratime Seven, so it makes sense. Though Byron knows the details of Juventus.

20 000 dollars a year?

That's what Marty paid? Every year? Without us having to pay? Hm.
So he lost 80 000 dollars in the process? Is it me or does that not sound very logical?

Marty could have bought one hell of a car.

@Seven:What are you discussing right now?LOL what you do is just blame. If you want to discuss, give your opinion to Byrone. Not just say fuck you or sth.
You, shut up.

I'm asking if this thing really costs 20k a year. Or better yet, that the members need to give him 20k. We're not talking about 20 dollars here. We're talking about 20 000 dollars.

I would pay if it was just about the money, 20 bucks a year is nothing (and asked as a donation, would consider paying), but defenitely not paying because its actually frigging drastically demanded without any discussions. Not just asked for as a donation, but is a prequiste to be allowed to post/ have an account. Thats just...

I dont like it, but its up to him how he does, and how he reacts to how the posters of his site thinks of this. But as I already said, there should be atleast some gratitude for him saving the site, and as I also said, no one buys football forums for profit. Its the contrary, its a burden.
Thank you,i just sold my company a while back,Ive taken over my dads construction company & ive turned it around. Its hard work & a completely new industry for me.Like this is gonna somehow turn my life around.:howler:

Get real Andries.I make over $1.5m per annum, creating a scam on this forum aint gonna cover my monthly expenses.

Hey, I don't even need to debate here. In the end, you'll lose Byrone. Not enough members will pay 20 dollars. Because the idea is fucking retarded.
I should have let this place rot & then this post would be null & void.

I feel sorry for people who would actually consider paying for this. What a pathetic life one would have to pay money to read other people's opinions (mostly trash).....
