yeah and him pulling a "Maradona" style goal proved he is overrated yeah?
hold on lets get one thing straight, there has only ever been maradona and that will always be and what exactly is a maradona style goal? why cudnt it be a pele style goal, or a platini style goal? please sum1 F*CKING ENLIGHTEN ME AS TO WHAT ONE IS? and so one 'maradona' style goal makes him worthy of of his inherritance? oh please wake up 1 goal makes f*ck all difference, if he did it with most of his goals thats a different matter, but the truth of the matter is there are far better players than messi unfortunatly its sad to see people are so disillutioned to the fact as long as you're young with a bit of pace and can score 1 good goal - you're world class already.

Aimar began his ascent to stardom with River Plate, whose first team he joined for the 1997/8 season after rejecting a place at medical school, and with whom he quickly established himself as one of the best young players in Argentina.

Valencia signed Aimar in 2001, at a price of 24 million euros. The purchase proved justified, however, as Aimar helped lead the team to a first-place finish in the 2001-02 Spanish season as well as finishing runners-up in the 2001 UEFA Champions League final, in which they were defeated by Bayern Munich. Aimar also has won the UEFA Cup with Valencia, defeating Olympique Marseille in 2004.

Aimar played for Argentina in the 2002 and 2006 World Cups. Diego Maradona later said that Aimar was "his legitimate successor as the world's best player" and that he would pay to watch Aimar play (although it is worth noting that Maradona has said that about all players touted as his successor, including Andres D'Alessandro - also with Real Zaragoza - and Lionel Messi).

On 12 April 2006, he was hospitalized after being diagnosed with acute viral meningitis, but made a quick recovery and has returned to play for his team.

On 12 June 2006, it was reported in the British media that Aimar's former coach Rafael Benitez is interested in signing him for Liverpool F.C.. But on July 29 2006, he joined Real Zaragoza in 4 years-deal for €11 million[1], and will receive €1.5 million per year. La Liga and Europe are his objective, again.

On February 12, 2007 he was awarded as the best Ibero-American La Liga player of the 2005/2006 season by news agency EFE [2]
.........

so thats pretty good imo

Yeah, Riquelme is better. Dumbass. :disagree:
if you must know i wud prefer riquelme simply for his skills of playing deadly balls through to the strikers, i dont care about his pace or lack of it todays game is about intelligence not how fast you can run, and riquelme is by far the more intelligent player argentina cant cope without riquelme and we all saw that against germany. just like how villarreal played their attack through riquelme

trust me ive seen more than a season of messi and quite frankly i dno whats more inflated - tax rates or the perception of those who play too much fm and watch one goal or 2 minutes of him on youtube
Like I said before, you have a really strange way of judging players. You wouldn´t be a good scout for Juve.

so 5 goals makes him the new maradona? i think id better put my football boots on and score 6 maybe maradona will be the new me
I´m not judging him by goals (although you don´t score a hat-trick against Real Madrid if you are an overrated player, especially a 19 year old player), I´m judging him by watching almost every Barcelona match and the kid has really impressed me with his load of potential.

Messi is not overated at all man. He is sick. Better than Ronaldhino because at 19 he is already scoring goals where he beats 5 or 6 players and destroyed madrid on his own with a hatrick.

I think he is better than C. Ronaldo too. He is just so devastating and lethal

If we got him he would be like another Del Piero for 10 years.

But there is no way any team in the world can sign him right now. especially not Serie B no chance for CL Juventus

I agree Riquelme is a fantastic talent. I love how he just can single handedly have complete control of the game. HE sets the pace and is impossible to take the ball off.

Imo he would fit in great with this Juve team especially as our attack is aging. WIth Riquelme holding the ball and controling the tempo our offence will not get burned out. I would do anything to have the club sign him. For his price he is a bargain and with him Camo and Nedved behind DP and Trez we would probably have the best attack in the Serie A next season.

Both him and Messi are class but i feel we can only get riquelme and I am not sure if the directors have the smarts to pull it off.

There are a few players attacking i would think Juve could buy and make them a hell of alot better. Players like Deco, Robben, Ribery and Requilme can all be bought i feel. It is just a matter of the club wanting to take the step and buy top quality players rather than just ok ones. I think that the Club owes the fans at least one mega buy :)

Excellent! So where does Gerrard fail in the description you made? Because he's faster than Riquelme, more energetic or what?

I really wonder what would he make of Juventus if he was Secco.... Frightening. :scared:
if he was Secco he would not care to sign the great Requilme or gerrard or whoever..

he would for some reason think Frings is the greatest player ... some would call Frings .. "the midfielder" .. Apollo himself

and he would do all he could to sign him

:pint:
