Right, old fashioned genius but changed the face of football in the 21st century. Although his football might not be the most attractive to watch nowadays but he his a genius of the game... he is on just another level... along with Sir Alex, Rinus Michels, Cruyff and Pep. No single manager out there comes close. People like the Pochs would have to be born 10x times. The sheer determination to win is really something and what he knows about football. I can accept better the "interista" argument than any of that.

Won a treble with PORTO, came to the Prem and abs dominated with a Chelsea side winning their first prem in 50 years, went to Inter going on to win another treble whilst taking down an all time great Barca and creating one of the best sides of the 21st century, went to Madrid and restored their status as one of the elite, returned to Chelsea where he won the league once again in dominant fashion and finally ended up an ManUtd where he wasn't too successful but wasn't a flop either.

If this isn't the making of an all time elite football manager then im not sure what is.

One other thing that annoys me is the notion that he only "parks the bus". Absolute BS his Madrid, Chelsea, and Inter sides were all great to watch.

He is a professional... like very few in the game. Also, if Ronaldo won 5 Ballon D'Ors and Real got 4 Champions in 5 years was a lot due to him.

Mourinho was very important to Real and Ronaldo. People might not realize it but was he that gave them the stability they had these later years.

When he got there Real was a team that failed to go past the round of 16 year in, year out. La Liga was also being snatched by their rivals. He turned that Real Madrid in a team that consistently achieved Semi-Finals of UCL and got them the League of the records and also one the most important feats that maybe is not well known is that he established Ronaldo as the offensive leader of the team and made the team play for Ronaldo to ultimately achieve success.

He did the dirty work of cleaning the dressing room and paved the way this Real that you see now in the later years.

We need a team that plays attaching football , a more modern style. In this I totally again with Cristian Vieri. We were annoying and boring.
You can win playing beautiful football. Allegri plays a style that is the old Italian style , a la Nereo Rocco a la Trappatoni .
The only one who played modern and attaching football was Sacchi and he won 5 CL. We are gone win the league whoever the coach is.
At this moment we are light years ahead of the rest of the league. So you can exclude Mourinho and I do not see Guardiola or Klopp or even Pocchetino

I would like a Jardim for example, but it will be Conte or Inzaghi or Sarri. If he has to be Italian I would prefer De Zerbi , young with new idea and worked with Guardiola.

I agree poch is my first choice. He is getting better over time and like you've mentioned has done incredibly well considering the very few enforcements over the years.

Jardim is good choice and I would have strongly considered him before he's reappointment go back to Monaco as they are struggling once again, I'm sure it's not that simple and blame lies with the players too. However, He's a way better option than inzaghi, sarri, gasperini, mihajlovic, and id go to say deschamps. He's man management skills are brilliant and would be perfect for a building club I.e union, milan etc.

I'm not even thinking about guardiola or klopp as it ain't happening, which leaves me with my second choice from the names and that's conte. I'm hoping his experience abroad has helped him and could add something new and for me we need big names, were amongst the elite and conte is big as they come.

I've ruled out mourinho because of his relationship with ronaldo but I wouldn't mind him he's a whining winner but there's still something special about him.

With all that said, whatever the case I trust Agnellis appointment as his last one proved we fans don't know shit.

Im really mixed about Conte at this stage. Signing him is more like "lets sign him so he doesnt go to inter". But im not that impressed with his overall Chelsea spell. Lost the dressing room. Sms Costa for no more playing was classless. It came back to hunt him as he lost a proven league goalscorer and then failed to get best out of Morata. Finished outside top4 last season. Got beaten by Roma in CL groups and only narrowly went through as 2nd in group. Then meets Barca and all praise for Messi as Barca beats them and everyone in england agrees like look they got Messi. Then that same Barca met Roma and Roma beats them in Rome 3:0. Excuses. Still same old excuses. When you start to look at it this way he isnt going to improve us in CL at all. We will end up missing Allegri as we will nervously fingers crossed hope we even advance from group. We need a change. Foreign coach. Both Poch and Jardim have experience. Inzaghi hasnt even played CL groups. Sarri would be accident waiting to happen. And while i thought the Roma coach did a good job it has a bit of a fluke feeling (EDF). But he is available and italian. Suits our management philosophy.

If we go sign italian coach again then i think the board is biased and obsessed having italian manager and we can forget about appointig any foreigner.

Thanks for forcing Daniel Levy's hand and guaranteeing he stumps up funds for Poch to spend in the 2019 summer transfer window at Tottenham.

Im not saying this happens but it makes lot of sense for him to move on. If he wins the CL even more. He cant achieve any bigger with Tottenham. Man City will always outspend them so no epl title. He has managed in Spain and England. He has relatives in Turin. Going to Italy next makes a lot of sense. Otherwise there is also Psg. He used to play for them you know. So i wouldnt be all that confident.

That doesn't count out the fact that Mous' success in ucl has come with smaller clubs after a short period of time while being coach for 3 big ones for several years..
..I dunno what Pep has to do with this..

The disrespect shown towards Inzaghi is unbelievable. He has won 2 trophies in 3 years at Lazio, more than anyone else in Serie A apart from Juve. He’s proved himself to be an good knockout competition manager. He won the Coppa Italia in 2019, and reached the final in 2017, only to lose against a dominant Juventus side.


He’s not my first choice, but people who compare him to Miha are fools.
