It applies to all sorts of coaches. All coaches eventually lose to a weaker side here or there. But Pep at least has a history of winning shit in cup competitions (and he still does so in domestic cups). And also beating top teams. As does Allegri. Amongst others. Sarri has no history of this, and in general has lost to weaker teams in each of his campaigns to go out of cup competitions. .
Pep's history of this starts and ends with Messi's Barca.

Bayern:
Beaten 5-0 by Madrid
Beaten 6-2 by Barca
Beaten 2-2 by Atletico

City:
Beaten by Liverpool 5-1
Beaten by Monaco 6-6
Beaten by Spurs 4-4

Do you not think those two are intertwined?

I believe that Sarri’s Napoli put low effort in Europe because they were fully focussed on overthrowing Juve in Serie A. If Sarri put more effort in Europe, he probably wouldn’t have been able to challenge Juve for the title in 2015/16 or 2017/18.

Ironically, the one year where Sarri’s Napoli was decent in Europe (2016/17) was the one season where they finished third in Serie A, also behind Roma.

I believe that Napoli’s squad was just too thin to be competitive in both Serie A and Europe, it had to be one or the other.

The Europa League final will be interesting to watch. Sarri is up against a team with roughly similar quality, and up against a manager who has won the competition three times. This is perhaps his biggest test yet as a manager.
Dont bother he lost his reason when it comes to Sarri.

City lost to Spurs who they finished miles ahead of in the league in probably their most important game and their best chance of winning the CL. You could say its embarrassing since they always beat Spurs in the league. Pep is going to go all out next year for the CL and then wh might move on, not this year.

Teams that never win anything at all, like Napoli. Obviously. :lol3:

Sarri is a classless turd who is 60 years old and has won nothing at all.

I’d say it’s his fanbois who have lost their reason. What’s there to fanboy about? Pretty but ineffective football? :baus:

Based on your logic, lets hire Spalletti and EDF...
They maneged to do so with Roma ....!! (Collecting points and so close to win the league)

Sarri and 3 seasons with Napoli and yet doesnt learn how to rotate and still beaten by Max many times even with Higuain with him.....

If you followed the league closely , many critics blame the failure to win the scudetto to his week tactical ability .... starts well... then mid season fail miserably and the funny part it is exact the same with Chelsea ....

Same crtics in Italy and England ...same losing patterns happened during those 4 years....

He lacks the tactical intelligence ....

What you expect from 60 years old fart never won something in his life !!!!!

Who do you think our club brought to replace Conte? A guy who failed in his last 3 seasons and eventually got fired.

You people talk about Sari and rotation like he had Benatia, Costa and Dybala on the bench and didn't use them.

Seems like In this forum we have hate wagon, as soon as 2 or 3 people start hating someone other people jump on and bring up worst reasons ever to justify their hate.

Guest at Sportitalia market, Giovanni Capuano, Radio 24 journalist, gave updates on the rumors that Guardiola would like to Juventus, further fueled by the rumors spread this morning by the Agi agency: "I know that in the face of an immediate protest by Juventus towards the Agi agency, the answer was that they confirmed what was written and confirmed it in the presence of sources ".
What's worse than an untranslated source? A source written in incomprehensive English
