I heard good things about Pasqual but i saw him for just few times so i cant tell.Zambrotta choked in Barca so dont know if he would be the same one and i doubt our staff would cosider him anyway.Zaccardo sometimes good sometimes bad but anyway i dont see him coming.I think we`ll end up with Ivanovic at that place. As for LB...maybe Modesto?I dont know if he`s that good but he was linked with top clubs this summer tho he`s a bit expencive.

i keep reading that zambro has been poor for barca, but when i,ve seen barca he's been great and friends of mine that are barca supporters are happy with his performances.

For Barca he's good but not spectatcular..Zambrotta in his current form is better than any rightback Barca have fielded for the past 4-5 years so they would definitely be happy with him( barca fans )

We definitly need new LB even more than RB cuz at least we have Zebina (he is not that bad). Urby from Ajax would be great IMO, Pasqual is hard to get, especially now when we are competing with them for CL spot, only Zaccardo look like a real option.

i disagree with grygera, i think he is a very good player and once he gets more games under belt he'll be a great player.

Molinaro is ok, give him some time...criscito can take that role as well..but i think we need to give this team more time...its a hole new defence which needs time to gel.

So you want Chielleni to continue as centerback??

We definitively have to go easy on the players that are playing their first ever season in Seria A, i.e Grygera, Salihamidzic , Tiago. You need to accommodate and accept new style of play, new teammates, coach ... and not to mention language barrier and a completely new and different way of living.

I hear you, bro. But you know that won´t happen. :(

Maybe we should try Criscito at LB.
Against smaller opponents, ya.

Ya, Modesto, good call. :agree: He is one of the best Reggina players and he is one of the rare Reggina players that stand our every match. BUT I read that Roma want to sign him. :faq1: Though if Roma signs Emanuelson, Modesto could be ours. :eyebrows:

And it is all the harder when it isn't a settled side they are joining. We have so many new guys that it was always going to be tough.

After seeing yesterdays match, I think getting a fullback is more important than a CB .

Molinaro, Zebina, Grygera, Birindelli? Not worthy of a big club.

Molinaro is 24, so it's not like he'll improve drastically. He is a limited player, did ok with Siena, but we're Juve.

Zebina, our most decent option for RB. Ok player, but makes mistakes and sometimes loses his temper. I'd play him for now.

Grygera. Decent free transfer, but not a starter in my book. His defending is just enough and he brings nothing forward. Second choice RB...

Birindelli. Respect to a big clubman, he offered us a lot in the past and still has something to offer as a decent versatile solution, but we can't rely on him for 90'. Keep him of course, but play only when needed.

Conclusion?
We do not have a single quality full back. Not on the left nor on the right. That was the biggest difference against Inter. Maicon and Chivu were great to stop Palla and Nedved, and Maicon even got close to goal, whereas Figo and Cesar were very free and no fullback created a chance going forward.

Chiellini must be played in the center. His match of yesterday was a big scream out loud "I'LL RULE THE CENTER!!". Partnered with a smart and calm experienced player (Andrade. Leggro can do until he comes back) he will flourish.
That's why we're getting Ivanovic.

Yes Vlatko, Samuel is a great defender.

exactly

remember the season where we signed Nedved, Buffon and Thuram!?

all three of them were poor until around christmas time. We should wait until January to judge them
