maybe I'm way off on this...but a TERRORIST organization is more or less running Lebanon, and these TERRORISTS are hiding among the innocent people of Lebanon, basically using them as shields to further the deaths of the innocent, and collateral damage towards Israel
Hezbollah have weapons provided by Iran and Syria...why dont they just come out and fight in the open, so that the innocent people of Lebanon arent being killed BECAUSE of them

Ok let me regress and put myself in your shoes or rather the neo-cons, the Israelis, and all right wing politics. Not that I agree with their ideals but just for the sake of the argument.
Hizbollah is a terrorist organization, Al-Qaeda is a terrorist organization, OBL is a terrorist, Zarqawi is a terrorist...etc. We should stop terrorism because we value life and these bastards don't, we must find solutions to this problem what do we do?
Fast Forward.....more than 250,000 civilian fatalities in Iraq, around 1000 killed and more than a million lebaneese refugee, civilians killed daily in ghazza...etc. What do you think the pictures of grey dead babies with pacifiers dangling from their PJs, kids crying beside their dying mothers, and whole cities turned into rubble would breed? Undoubtly all these pictures and events will breed hatered and an unquenched thirst of revenge to anything related to the cause!
I will tell you vinnie, that Hizbollah has unprecendented backing in Lebanon now, not that I have factual or scientific studies to back my claim, but its only normal and that is what I see on the ground. With every Hizbollah militia dead, two will pop up. Whether they are using innocent civilians as human shields or not, people will never stand with Israel against Hizbollah. Take it from me, I am an Arab and I know how the majority will react....Lebaneese learned from their past experiences and will not turn against each other.
Indeed Al-Zawahiri came out yesterday and claims that "Al-Jama'a Al-Islamia in Egypt" (and Islamic group) joined Al-Qaeda. Whatever Israel and the States are doing in the region, I am sure as hell its not dismantling Terrorist cells, but on the contrary they are galvanizing them. The Arabic governments will feel the brunt of this, as their defening silence on whats happening now will never go unpunished in the minds of these wackos. Rami, you make a lot of sense and you speak the truth. But now you tell me what is your solution to these problems. Hizballah will continue to fight Israel because its aim is to destroy Israel. So whether or not Israel reacted , it would still be attacked. I presume Bin Laden will continue to fight the U.S if he wasn't attacked. What should be done ?

But there is no quick fix, and I think its too late. The Iraqi and Afghani war were big mistakes. The damage is already done, the drift between the two ideologies have never been so big. The fixes would be impossible to be done voulantairly.
First of all America should retreat and leave the gulf forever, this is what pissed Bin Laden in the first place, he didn't want to see America's intervention back in the 2nd gulf war in the beggining of the 90's.
Second, establish peace in Palestine. Which is also impossible IMO. for 50 years Arabs and Israelis have been fighting with pockets of "peace" here and there. But I don't think it will ever be established. One of them must prevail.
In short the times will just become darker...

But it's arrogance that got you there....

No, the 2000 rockets already launched and more won't destroy Israel... nothing will. But you can see that it's quite a pain and it's a heavy price to pay that no country in the world will be willing to go through. Any country would react and much more heavily, probably before the actual launching of the missles as well, during the very premature stage of arming.
The 2000 rockets that landed in Israel is because Israel decided to go all gung ho on Lebanon, not the other way around. Don't twist facts! Before that there were minimal skirmishes every now and then, and there are numerous of examples neighboring countries living in such tension. Israel's situation is not unique. And besides Israel is occupying Shiba'a, I could argue that anything Hizbullah was doing falls under patriotic resistance....Once again "One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter", don't impose your labels on me!
