Fiorentina? Rival?

Rival for what exactly?

And both us and Fiorentina will be getting players that neither of us will have no saying in 6 months, so why postpone it?

And inb4 some smartass comes with a brillant idea that we should sell him.

let me put it to you this way, who gains more out of this deal? us or them? we get a goalkeeper to sit on our bench? they get an attacker which they are short of with decent ability and pace?

we are better off finding an alternative deal
Who gives a shit, they will get him in summer anyway.

And I still think nothing will happen in January.

Like what ? As if Giovinco wants to go anywhere...

Besides, who gains more is not the question. The question is does Juventus gain something. And the answer is obviously yes, albeit only very little.

and what exactly do Juve gain from getting another goalkeeper who is not even fit to tie Buffon's laces? Are we short of goalkeepers? no is Neto going to displace Buffon any time soon? no is he going to displace Buffon in the long run? highly unlikely, so please enlighten me

Storari and Buffon aren't retiring though in Buffon's case not for quite a few more years you think neto wants to wait around that long? to play 2nd fiddle and even when Buffon does retire I hope so see leali at the club if not someone more established. I can't even recall when rubinho has ever played a competitive game for us again tell me how Juve are getting the better end of the deal?

Why would they make fiorentina stronger when they overpriced the fuck out of cuadrado and jovetic? imagine if we had jovetic and cuadrado we would be strong contenders in europe.

And probably broke.

And seriously, why did we even do business with Real last summer if they didn't sell us Ronaldo and Benzema?
We'd be serious contenders in europe with those two.

As I said before, getting the better end of the deal is not necessary. If your own team can pick up Hazard, but that enables Fiorentina to pick up Cristiano, you'd let him go. When Fiorentina is nowhere near competition for us and in this particular case, we're actually talking about our FIFTH striker and their FIRST goalie.

Storari and Rubinho are quitting soon. Storari was on the verge of leaving more than once. Buffon still there, but not for long. If Neto is not willing to play second fiddle, he will refuse the deal. So yes, as long as this is on the table he's happy to sit on the bench at least until Buffon retires.

Leali has not fulfilled his potential, he's just not good enough.

Again you missed the point, how many games realistically would neto get as a number 2? - 3? 4? Giovinco at fiorentina is more likely to be a protagonist so again I don't see how you think Juve are gaining more out of this deal

You're the one missing the point: how many games did Giovinco get in the 1st half of the season for Juventus? He's useless to us and we make or break a deal by judging what it does for Juventus, not what it does for some mid-table team. Jezus...

well, i think we would gain in the long run, we have to replace storari with a future starter. leali or perin? perin too pricey, leali inconsistant, so neto is a cheap solution

so do you really think neto will play that much more than giovinco at Juve to be a difference to the side? ok again you fail to establish the difference between who is actually getting the better deal for themselves, fiorentina lose a goalkeeper who is average at best will probably play 3 or 4 matches for Juve as a number 2 and will be at least another 3 or 4 years before he even gets a sniff at the number 1 shirt which he won't get

or

Giovinco who will aid a team that is struggling for attackers, given his time at Juve he is a very decent player for a mid table side a likely protagonist and would most likely be a regular in the team and hey you never know might just happen to score again Juve cost us 3 points just as he did at parma

so again how does Juve gain from getting a number 2 goalkeeper a position of little to no significance to the team other than in pre season and coppa italia matches which we don't even take seriously as it is to then help a team much disliked fill a void in attack an area that has significance to any team and could be damaging to us

in the long run leali will probably be the better goalkeeper than neto, I like what i've seen of leali at cesena this season
