Game: OpenTTD

About: OpenTTD is an open source simulation game based upon the popular Microprose game "Transport Tycoon Deluxe", written by Chris Sawyer. It attempts to mimic the original game as closely as possible while extending it with new features.

Comment: Currenly loving the 32bpp mod that allows for nicer graphics

Game: Tiny Tower

About: Tiny Tower lets you build a tiny tower and manage the businesses and bitizens that inhabit it! Make money to build new types of floors and attract bitizens to live and work inside.

Comment: I don't even know why I play these kind of games. I've also played all the Kairosoft games like Game Dev Story, Mega Mall Story, Pocket Academy, Pocket League Story etc. I'm an idiot.

Original prince of persia is still rad

I suppose its more nostalgia fo me, when i was growing up, playing it with my dad was my reward for doing homework, we used to have it on an old windows pc on a floppy disc...feel so old now, kids these days wont know what it was like doing stuff like that.

Play Eve Online, not particularly nerdy since I'm not that into it yet (3 weeks), but its fascinating.
But the game itself is as nerdy as it gets with MMO. I tired to get into it for like three times already, but always couldn't get past one month. How do you like this game so far, did you get hooked already, what got you hooked on it? :)

I'm not hooked on it yet, though fascinated, its RIDICOLOUSLY ambitious game, as in it really depicts a whole frigging unverse with every possibility and knowledge being unlimited (with insanely complex playerbase, highly political/cerebral shit). I have done 2-3 trials on it past years (2008 til now), everytime not getting account because of its time consuming nature but mainly because I'm against the principle of monthly subscription.

This time what changed is that since I'm PS3 multiplayer shooter gamer, and I'm waiting on online shooter called Dust 514 that will be out in few months, I decided to really get into Eve again and pay this time. Because Dust 514 will a first in a pS3 console shooter that will be directly linked into a MMO on PC. Eve will be the space warfare, and Dust will be about mercenary foot soldiers that take over planets in behest of Eve players contracts (and vice versa, so yeah will be far from tdm shooter, but taking assets, earning dough to make more assets kinda game). Looks real intriguing, so playing Eve to get into the world while waiting for said game:

So yeah this latter game is the one I will be nerdy about :D

My only real craving is Defense of the Ancients. I can play that shit for 7 hours straight
 Denmark is the home of DotA in a way! Lots of legendary Danish players in the past.

I used to play this game non-stop, barely taking sleeping breaks

The shooter is not nearly as nerdy as EVE. So the said shooter will be directly related to EVE(contracts, protection and etc)? That's really cool, and ads even more complexity to EVE... So what are you doing now in EVE? pirate, miner or what?

Yeah shooters are very basic compared to game like Eve, but this one will PART of the Eve world in everywhere. Eve players fight above surface of planet, while their allies/corp mates can fight on ground in Dust at the same time, in real time connection. They can fire down on our Dust opponents with strikes, or we (Dust players) can fire up with ground defence cannons on their Eve fleet enemies etc.

I'm neither a pirate or miner, but in a sizeable corporation (same one that will play Dust with), doing missions with some, and generally getting hang of the game more. Right now I'm in the whole games trading hub system, JITA, buying all kinds of stuff for much cheaper prices then elsewhere (I made 34 Jumps to get here...lol took a while).

That sounds cool. Will you have to have both Eve and Dust? and is Dust only on PS3 or available on PC too?

Is it any good? how is it different? Is it anything special to try out besides the obvious Star Wars theme.
Well i'm completly hooked, much different then the previous Star wars mmorpg i played, defenitly worth a try. The quest are cool and the graphics are amazing. everything is voice based, pvp is great aswell if you're into that.
