It can be dry as toast. But there is a discipline to questioning what you see, but not jumping to conclusions until you have reasonable data. Without that, we have everything from Jenny McCarthy blaming immunizations for autism like she's some frigging science researcher instead of a former Playboy model to people denying that the earth's climate is changing.

The scientific method isn't infallible, but it's one of the better tools our society has to create reproducible results.
 Wtf is this?

What do you guys think will happen between the USA and Pakistan?

Surely, they still need Pakistan's friendship to have a land access to Afghanistan since they are still into that war. However, I see the USA cutting the financial help they provide to Pakistan as soon as they leave Afghanistan if their relations don't improve.
Probably continued criticism and bickering from both sides in the public eye while the diplomatic circle jerk continues behind the scenes.

    Think whatever you want.
    I most certainly will.

What a joke, dude. There are plenty of members here who do exactly that but from the opposite side and I only got shit for it because I was taking the pro-America stance which isn't as "popular" here as criticizing everything America does.

You guys tried to make me out to be some gun-toting, flagworshipping nut which was ridiculous.
I'm pretty sure that you were the one that defended Cheney and called Seymour Hersh a crackpot for this.

Leave Afghanistan? What makes you think we'll do that any time soon? Even with OBL there isn't any real plan to withdraw from that decrepit place.

If Ron Paul wins the elections, he will probably order the withdrawal of Afghanistan

But well, at 76 years old, he probably won't win.

I like Ron Paul, and would probably vote for him because I like his own voting record and his stance on the economy, but he hasn't been to get much done in his career. He also wouldn't attract the big buck donations from Wall Street like Obama, so he doesn't stand a chance of winning.

It's going to be impossible to dislodge Obama. The election will be meaningless.
With the OBL wild card and the Republicans in disarray, unfortunately that looks like the case. I don't know how anyone could vote for Obummer or the usual Republican candidates again.

Although, maybe once Obama wins they'll let the economy collapse once and for all, which is what it needs.

Which makes all the media debate about it all the more meaningless. As much as Pakistan complain publicly about violations to their sovereignty, as long as billions of aid continue to flow their way annually, it is nothing more than a gesture to appease their population.

Of course it's meaningless. They might talk alot but they aren't going to jeopardize all that money.

It's all for show to appease people in both America and Pakistan who are pissed.
