Why isn't anybody talking about this? At least 100,000 dead in this disaster. Why isn't anyone talking about their retarded government fouling up the relief? They don't have a clue what they're doing.

RIP to the victims of another powerful cyclone.

What's the point? We all know how each one of these threads start and end. I was thinking about opening one right when it happened but I decided not to for said reason.

Anyway, RIP to victims.

Why should i care about this place i have never even heard of it? :p

I was joking of course it is really sad. I heard that their government not only is refusing to help its citizens yet has also declared they don't want foreigners to come into the country to try and help! R.I.P. for everybody who died.

Because it is far away, in a country nobody likes and no Westerners were involved.

People are interested in China because it is a major force in the world.

What happens there affects the West, what happens in Burma doesn't.

Exactly. It was a rhetorical question.

This is one of the worst natural disasters in history, and quite remarkable in meteorology. A perfect scenario for disaster that reminds us of Katrina.
